Leaving the unfortunate problem the city had to deal with this weekend with hurricane Helene touching land and making disasters… the hotel is terrible and really should be inspected by official authorities and Expedia should really look into not offering this hotel as an option any longer: no elevators working, guests need to enter the rooms through the service door which is absolutely outdoor with very little security and control. There is no personnel receiving in the front. The parking is terrible. With respect to the rooms I believe they are with the same furtiniture and infrastructure since the inception of the hotel who knows since when, the TVs are small and very old with a system that barely works, the AC are noisy and old, the carpets aren’t so clean and the bathrooms are antique. The common area is completely limited, the pool area (that got destroyed after the hurricane) but before that it was basically abandoned (in a time of the dread that’s still warm enough for usage). Conditions overall: probably one of the worst hotels I have been in all my life. I believe this hotel needs either an investment of around 3 to 4 million USD for proper renovation or basically bring it down and begin a new construction.
This hotel was the nastiest place I've ever stayed. I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone. The lobby is dark and dreary and has not been updated since the seventies by the look of the decor. The hallways smell like stale tobacco. The room was just as bad. The furniture was all beat up and the drapes would not close all the way. The shear curtains were torn and yellow with age and nicotine. There were dead insects by the headboard of the bed. The bathroom was tiny and just as nasty. They also fail to mention that the hotel is next to train tracks and trains ran all night blasting their horns.
TRAVELER BEWARE!
enjoyed our stay. walkable to many sites and restaurants

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Decent hotel with friendly staff, but train noise was too much.
Read some reviews and thought for sure they would clean up for masters week. I believe this hotel should be closed by board of health. The lobby is filthy, smells of urine, black ceiling vents, stained carpets. I do compliment the folks who work here who were quite pleasant. But after my stay, read some articles, this hotel I believe houses homeless who were displaced during masters week, so they could capitalize on $800 per room ticketholders. I have tons of photos and could go into detail, but am still somewhat recovering from the worst conditions that I have ever stayed in. And unrelated to hotel condition is this the train that main tracks down the road. There is some union conflict so intentionally blows horn all the way through town in spite. And passes many times per night
After staying here I would not do it again. Needs major upgrades and had I known a train would pass outside our room 4x a night blaring its horns I would have booked elsewhere. Clerk did not mention amenities so I assumed there were none. Toilet ran all night and coffee maker was in the bathroom yuk. Hairdryer was on its last legs Im surprised it even worked for my husband but he does have less hair than I do.
They need to update their property details . No bar, no restaurant, swimming pool is closed, no room service, and they didn’t clean or make our bed. We stayed three nights, and it was three nights to long!
My stay at Ramada was good not great. The trains were busy. There were not enough electrical outlet in the room to plug two phone chargers. The beds were semi comfortable.
Arrived at this property to find wallpaper peeling with a hole in wall, toilet running, bugs, vagrants outside digging through the dumpster. VERY DATED PROPERTY
Not altogether sure it’s safe. This place does NOT have a good reputation. Then there’s the train that goes by a block away, blowing the horn for about two minutes straight, every two hours, all night long. They failed to mention that in the description and are put out when you don’t want to stay somewhere where you’ll be woken up all night long. If you’re looking for a restful relaxing night sleep, this is not the place.
SKIP IT. We left an hour after arrival, Because of all these issues , still got charged for the full night! Shameful
Buyer beware!!

Very overpriced, dated! I’ve stayed in $70 motels that were nicer. No fridge or microwave, small tv, room service put fresh towels in but didn’t make bed or clean. I had left an entire meal there while went out and it was gone when I got back to room. Either housekeeping took it or someone else with access went in and took it. Will not stay there again.
Room lacked outlets, and the hotel is positioned right next to some train tracks. A passing train absolutely slammed on its horn and woke us around midnight.
