Normandy 2024
Property was lovely and clean, directions to property was not very clear, we found the road ok but no clear directions/signposting to the property, we drove around for half an hour, sought directions from the local campsite and very kind local man guided us there on his bicycle. Property was nice clean but to our tastes the decor was a bit dated .

Normany Tour
We used the base for touring the Normany area. The accommodation was Peacefu l and in lovely location. Ample space for a group of 3. Facilities were very good with excellent facilities for self catering Few areas that need improving though. Beds are extremely low and need to be upgraded. We felt The tv media systems need upgrading as well. We had a brilliant time here and Camille was very helpful. Just a few minor touches needed. catering

Perfect place for the Normandy area and more
We could not have asked for a better place to spend our time while touring the Normandy beach area. My wife and I spent 5 amazing days there with our daughter, her husband, and our new granddaughter while traveling the beaches of the D-Day landings, and from the moment I booked until the day we left, our host was amazing. Camille, the owner stayed in communication the whole time, and when I told her my granddaughter would be with us, she set up a portable crib and had a baby chair for feeding. She even had a locally made cider bottle waiting for us in the fridge. The living area on the first floor is wide open and very comfortable to gather in, and the table and chairs on the patio made for wonderful evenings after our day of touring. The kitchen is well appointed for all you need to do, coffee maker, espresso pot, tea kettle, and ample pots, and pans for cooking. The location is within ten to fifteen minutes of just about everything you want to see if you desire to relive the history of D-Day, and the people in the area treasure American history more than most Americans do at this point. It was heartwarming to see the American, British, and Canadian flags being flown on almost every house in the area. The nearby town of "Port Au Bessin" is a great place to get groceries, and has some amazing restaurants on the water. My wife and I are already missing the quiet serenity of the area, and hope to return again

Beautiful Gite in fantastic location
Beautiful and spacious house was big enough for our family of 5 adults. Had all the facilities we needed for our holiday. Great location close to coast and DDay sites and situated in very pretty countryside. Camille was a brilliant host- excellent and prompt communications in advance, and friendly and helpful once we arrived. Highly recommended!

Spacious and comfortable house with discreet and helpful host - great for Bayeux and WW2
Well situated in quiet location for Bayeux and the Normandy Beaches. Very comfortable stay for the two of us. Well equipped - only slight issue is the kitchen could do with a new kettle equipped with an on-off switch.

Home from home. Good central location for landing beaches
Lovely safe and clean property. Large open plan lounge, diner and kitchen perfect for family socialising. Away from the hustle and bustle but this is no problem as long as you have a car. Just a short drive from Bayeux which is a lovely town. Well equipped kitchen. Good power in shower. Only thing we missed was a bath for our young children but this was not a problem. Extra charge for bedding and cleaning could come as an unpleasant surprise if not expected. As long as you are aware of this upfront will not leave a bitter taste!

Great location and House
The house was very clean and comfortable. The surrounding area is beautiful and really captures the feel of the small towns throughout Normandy. The house was an easy drive to many D-Day tourist locations.

Quiet, beautiful retreat
An easy drive to Omaha beach and other sites, we chose this house to experience a little bit of country side as we toured through D Day sites. Most of our meals we ate out in Bayeux after our tours, but one night we did manage to plan an easy meal and cook in this large kitchen. You will be 20-25 min away from a grocery store. We very comfortably slept 4 adults, and enjoyed the living areas together. Beds were on the harder end of the scale, but we were so exhausted after our tours that I think we slept well regardless. One thing we did double check and prepare for weeks before our arrival was renting our linens and a cleaning fee—be aware of those extra costs when booking, they’re subtle in the text. Everything was very clean and water pressure was excellent. A lovely country experience.

Beautiful house near all the Normandy sights. Very quiet. Loved the free range chickens. They provided much entertainment. Only drawback was the undisclosed charge for linens and towels and the cleaning fee. I thinks this should have been disclosed on the property description page.

wonderful place to stay
This is a very nice quintessential stone country french house in the farmlands of Normandy, about 15 minutes from Bayeux and 15 minutes from Omaha Beach. The location is exceptionally charming, the house is spacious and very clean, with excellent furnishings, bath, laundry, and kitchen. The house is located in the countryside, in a very private setting, with a barn, other out buildings, and beautiful fields, but is a very close drive through the farmlands and little villages to Bayeux and the D Day beaches. very close to Bayeux and the D -

Everything we could possibly need
We choose this particular cottage due to its excellent location for the Normandy beaches. The property had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was very clean and well laid out. It's blissfully quiet there but with easy access to local stores in Bayeux. The skies are also beautiful at night with little light pollution which is great for stargazing. Overall we were delighted to have stayed and would look forward to returning one day. A prefect break.

A bit of a drive from Bayeux, but well worth the drive. Very peaceful and everything we had wanted
Very comfortable and reasonably well stocked with kitchen appliances. Washer and dryer very useful. Big bonus was being out in the countryside and away from city lights, the night sky is incredible. First time I've seen the band of the milky way in a long time. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely, spacious & clean house. Great location too!
Our stay was great. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The outside is pretty and has a perfect spot for some al fresco eating. Lovely to have the chickens roaming about too. The owners were very friendly & welcoming (not in an intrusive way!) The location of the house is perfect for exploring Omaha beach and Bayeaux. All in all, would totally recommend a stay at this place!

Great!!
It was a perfect location for Omaha and Utah beaches as well as pont du hoc. Quiet, and very spacious. The only drawback was that the heat was not on downstairs and it was cold. With all the beautiful tile and stone it took a good day to heat up. The owner was welcoming. I would stay there again.

Excellect accommodations and location.
If you want to experience the french countryside, this is the location. It is a lovely accommodation and well stocked with everything you would need. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights end of September and if we were to return to Normandy, we would definitely stay here again. Even through you feel far removed, you're only minutes from the coast and the Utah, Omaha beaches and the Normandy American Cemetery.

Beautiful property
The property is spacious, tastefully decorated and well maintained. It is in a good location for all the major tourist attractions in the area. We met the owners at beginning of our stay and they were very friendly. They went away the following day and we were advised to speak to the neighbour if we has any problems but as we had no problems there was no need.

lovely spacious and homely gite
Delightful hosts and a convenient location close to Omaha beach and the lovely Port en Bessin. We spent 11 nights here and were happily entertained the whole time with much to see and do all within a 20 minute drive. The table tennis table which is in the barn on the left of the photo was particularly popular with our boys. The gas barbecue also made cooking very simple. I would certainly recommend this property.
