Amazing hotel and restaurant. This was our favourite stay in Norway, after our journey to Flam. The views are stunning, the resturant is fantastic. We had the Viking beer pairing platter which was out of this world.

Room was so charming and cozy. Comfy beds and roomy bathroom. Had a great dinner at the brewpub! It would be nice if check out was a bit later, but at least there’s a nice luggage room.

Great location in Flam
This hotel is right at the ferry terminal and is a very short walk to the Flamsbana train. There is a good choice of dining options on site and we had an excellent free breakfast buffet. The only negative is when there is a large cruise ship in the port, which there was for a few hours of our stay, your view is ruined.

Nice hotel with great views as long as the ship is in port. Pub and restaurant excellent. The staff in the breakfast room were very rude however. We were scolded and told we had to pay extra for breakfast sandwiches we planned to take with us. Instead we left it, only for it to be thrown away. Petty and kind of ruined our whole experience. A sign indicating no food can be taken away would have been helpful.

Stayed one night to break up the Norway in a Nutshell tour. Had problems with the lock to the room. Because of the location and lack of hotels in the area, it was the most expensive during our two -week trip. The room was comfortable enough and the decor was cabin-style. The breakfast was okay but not as good as other hotels where we stayed.

The hotel was beautiful, though I believed it to be larger than it is before arriving, but that was just my perception. As with all European housing, the rooms are smaller than would be found in the USA. That is not a criticism, just an observation. We still put 4 adults into a family room comfortably. The restaurant in the Aegir Brewpub and the associated beers were excellent. Breakfast the next morning had all one might want. Registration and check out were simple and the staff were wonderful in all locations.
