-The boat must remain at the slip
-We allow a maximum of 8 overnight guests.
-The boat is docked in a commercial marina with lots of weekend boat traffic from 10am-8pm. Use the lily pad and slide at your own risk. The Marina, the boat owner & the management company assume no responsibility for accidents or injuries. The best time to do water activities is around 5-6pm, when the sun and boat activity have calmed down.
- Please keep music down between the hours of 10-11am, 2:30-4pm and after 9pm. The charter captains need to be able to read their safety speech on their drive out. Outdoor quiet hours begin at 9pm.
-The Marina charges $20 daily per vehicle for parking. This covers entry into the Marina and use of their amenities (restrooms, trash, security, etc).
-Guests will have access to the entire houseboat, dock and marina. Please be respectful of Marina staff, boat owners & guests; do not wander onto other boat slips or boats, touch items on the docks in front of other boats, or disrupt others staying on other boats.
-Please use a life jacket when in the water. All water activities (swimming, sliding, etc) are at your own risk. The Marina, the boat owner & the management company assume no responsibility for accidents or injuries.
*****PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING:
Please note that boats require special considerations that are not typical of a regular home. We want everyone to have an enjoyable experience, so read this section carefully to make sure this is the right experience for you:
1) You will be in nature, so it is common to encounter bugs and other animals. We clean the decks throughly in between guests, but spiders will likely spin new webs over the course of your stay. They are harmless & will help keep the gnats away :)
2) There may be smells or noises that are not typical of regular homes. The most common "boat smell" is from the septic tank. There are special enzymes we use to help prevent & eliminate this smell as best as we can, but please flush the toilet fully in order to keep the boat from smelling unpleasant.
3) Boat toilets will get clogged if you flush anything other than toilet paper; you cannot plunge a clogged boat toilet. Instead, you have to remove the entire toilet from the wall to clear the clog. Please help us by not flushing anything that could clog the toilets. There will be a $200 fee to remove toilet clogs.
4) The electric is run on 2 main lines; one on each side of the boat. If you plug in something with relatively high voltage, it might trip a breaker on the same side of the boat. Don’t be alarmed if this happens. You can flip one of the breakers to get it back online most of the time.
Boats can be tricky and if a major issue arises that we cannot remedy, we are 100% reasonable when it comes to refunds. However, please understand that this is a unique experience akin to "glamping" or RV camping. As such, WE DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS FOR BUGS, WEATHER, OR ISSUES ARISING FROM TOILET MISUSE.
