This property is in a fabulous location. Parking is on the street or in a car park, but is easily walkable. The room we stayed in was a triple room with twin beds which worked well for our party. The room however, was musty and moldy on the walls. The private bath did not have vents and so occasionally there was a sewer smell coming from the shower. Overall, for the location you can’t beat the price.
Well located but the room was not in the condition/renovated as the photos had shown when booking the room. No way of speaking to anyone if need something (like more pillows). No hot tub, room very poor condition.
The room I was provided doesn’t have a proper working shower or AC. Parking is a nightmare here, I had to park a few kilometres away just to find a spot.
The entrance was rather difficult to find as you can only use the rear door ( I believe there is maintenance right now though), with the address on the maps showing closer to the beginning of the street. I walked around for 15 minutes trying to find the place with all my luggage in tow.
I wouldn’t say this particular room matches the photos online. They seem to show a nice well lit room with many pillows, bright blue accents, and a functional bathroom. I have more of a tiny closet bathroom, grey, dark, lampless, dreary room with two tiny pillows. The bathroom is not useable if you are over 180 cm as the sink is right in front of the toilet in an awkward position.
The area is a prime location for many restaurants being just a side street away.
My room was so humid as there was no ventilation or window in the bathroom. I even saw mold on the ceiling above the shower tub. Also, there were so many mosquitos in my room. Having said that, the location was quite good.
Very poor. I had trouble with getting in so called and she didn’t speak English so just hung up on me! Didn’t send anyone. I Got another person to help me. Facility is very run down. Bed was good though. Bathroom shower door would not close properly. Will not stay again.
I do not recommend. Floors sticky throughout, ants, no staff present, dirty walls, stains etc.
The one staff member I saw briefly was very nice. The sheets where clean and the locstion was great.
We arrived at the place at 14: 08h to carry out the check in which would be unavailable after 14: 00h. However it was not possible due to some kind of misunderstanding between the
your people. The room was not available at that time. It would only be available after 3pm, which was very unpleasant, since I have 2 children who were tired of the trip and needed to accommodate themselves. The lady who attended us was very friendly and provided us with another room with a check in done by her on my behalf.
Photo’s are misleading- makes it look like proper beds for kids. Bed for smallest child was broken and collapsed continuously. Shower door was broken, sleeper couch and very bad and worn condition, and didn’t seem clean anymore. Bathroom way too small for a family of 4- if there were proper photo’s of the room to see size of room and bathroom, we would not have booked this place.
Pictures are very misguiding, furthermore, the room had a strong and very bad smell of mold fungus (though only visible few places), which meant that we had a mild headache throughout our stay. Not recommendable.
This hotel is not everything I was under the impression it would be. The jacuzzi was dirty and it took a day to heat up, the stairs are dangerous if you are not carefu, very tiny room, no hangers to hang up clothes, no under bed storage, l and it is a very loud area. However, the check in staff was very kind.
I really enjoyed my stay at Aveiro City Lodge. My room was small, but charming, and very clean, and it had a cute little balcony that I was not expecting. The bed was very comfortable, too. In addition, the location was great. It was a 15 minute walk to the train station and it was in the heart of all the action. Many great restaurants nearby, a shopping mall with very nice stores was a 2 minute walk away, and it was a minute walk to the canal. I highly recommend this place.
