Thanksgiving Get Away
Our stay was great. The room was very spacious and clean but we had a view of a wall. We used to be owners at the San Luis Bay Inn and have stayed in several rooms and I had no idea this room existed. I thought all rooms had a view. I like the fact that they didn’t try to get us to join or sit in a 90 minute time share meeting. They were all very pleasant.

Not worth it.
I have been staying at this hotel for 27 years. Every time I use a 3rd party site they treat us terribly. I booked in advance and they gave us a mediocre room with no view and we asked to be close to the pool since we have certain needs. They wouldn’t accommodate. Concierge wouldn’t even greet us. The place is just going down hill. After 27 years I think it’s time to move on and get an airbnb or something different. So sad. The rooms never change but our bathroom was full of black mold which is hazardous. Bye Bye San Luis bay inn

We were very happy with our stay here. It was exceptionally clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Although we didn't use it, the kitchen in our room was fully stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. The bathroom was nice a big and the king size bed was very comfy. We even had an ocean view from our little deck. There isn't a shuttle into Avila Beach but it is very close. A short walk down the driveway and across the bridge and you're there. The only part is you have to come back up the driveway on your return and it is kind of steep. All in all we loved our stay.

The resort is nice but the room was a bit tired and out of date. Felt nickeled and dimed a bit given how much the rooms cost. Views and pool area were great but overall could be vastly improved.
