Great views but dated motel
Let me start with positives. Great location if visiting Cabot trail. Makes for a good base. Also fantastic views of the water front and exceptional and friendly réception and service. Now to the negatives. Room is very dated. Musty smell, carpet is dirty. Water spills to bathroom during shower creating a puddle near toilet seat area. Shower curtain was dirty and doesn’t seem to have been changed in forever. Same with the furniture, lamps, blankets, AC etc. The rooms need a full overhaul. The room was as basic as it gets. Wouldn't recommend.

Usually I do not write reviews, if i do not write a review this time it will be in justice for this business. Our family just finished 12 days East coast trip and we stayed 9 different hotels and motels. We stayed from high end hotels to very budget friendly motels. I would say we felt most homey environment in the Cabot Trail motel. Room and bathroom was very clean, bed was comfortable. View is amazing. We also had dinner at the Motel’s restaurant and it was delicious. I appreciate all the stuff who works there, all of them are friendly and helpful, specially I would like to thank the owner who gave me a ride to nearby Town to charge my EV.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Bathrooms need an update (tiles on the floor were cracked and loose and could cut your feet) but the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good and affordable.

Lovely place to stay! Very well maintained and staff was absolutely amazing. We had seafood dinner with drinks and breakfast there before hitting the Cabot Trail. Both meals were large portions and well worth the money endless coffee as well. Highly recommend!
