Cardigan House is in a prime central location situated by the shores of Lake Wendouree in Ballarat City. It's perfect location is within a short walking distance to train station, cafe's, restaurants, Ballarat Fine Art Gallery, Her Majesty's Theatre, Regent Cinemas, Hospitals and the City Circle free transport. This means you can leave your car and walk. It's also only between two to four kilometres to Sovereign Hill, Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka (MADE), the Ballarat Wildlife Park, as well as beautiful Lake Wendouree and the Botanical Gardens.

Enter into 2A Cardigan Street and find yourself surrounded by bright, natural light from the oversized north-facing windows and open plan concept. Tasmanian oak floors flow throughout the space and the combination living-dining room features a stone bench-top, perfect for formal dinners or spreading out the newspaper for a casual weekend brunch.

The fully stocked galley kitchen with top-of-the-line stainless appliances is the central hub of the ground floor and leads to a beautiful dining/living area with large leather lounge suite perfect for relaxing in front of the SMART TV with full WIFI and Netflix access. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors open to an enclosed rear deck bathed in afternoon sun. For the winter months a gas log fire will keep you warm and cosy.

The exquisite master bathroom retreat includes heated towel rail and deep freestanding bath lit from above by a beautiful sky light , for the ultimate bubble bath escape. The glass-walk in shower and its rain-head fixture ensure an invigorating start to the day or a relaxing unwinding at day’s end.

The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and third bedroom 2 single beds. Both bedrooms are situated upstairs and both are equipped with comfy pillow top mattresses, electric blankets, ceiling fans and airconditioning/heating when required.

Basic pantry needs such as oils, salt & pepper, sauces & wraps are provided. If you would like a hot drink on arrival tea, coffee and coffee pod machine are provided.

Upstairs an alcove office provides a zen-like private workspace complete with a velvet chester lounge perfect for the business traveller with a quiet area to read & relax.

There are also some games and books to keep the big kids (Adults) and the little ones entertained. Located in TV unit.

Guests have use of the entire 2 storey house with hassle free keyless entry and unlimited WIFI.

Modern, clean & so convenient
2a Cardigan has all the comforts of home plus electric blankets! Our stay in winter is has been so cozy with an open fireplace (gas) in the main living and air conditioning throughout the bedrooms (we haven’t needed to use these). Its close to loads of great cafes and restaurants and just a short drive to Ballarat and close to grocery shops if you prefer not to cook. We have really enjoyed our stay, we can’t fault it.

Very clean property. Great location. Bit hard to find the remote for the garage rollerdoor. My husband was curious about the bbq. It hadn't been cleaned by whoever used it last. Air con in the bedroom with the 2 single beds wouldn't blow out any hot air. TV remote control 8n 5he upstairs bedroom didn't work. Look apart from these small things overall the property was quite well presented. If you are not told about the above small things the property owner will never know.

We attended a Conference training in Ballarat and this quiet and well-appointed house was perfect for us. We enjoyed the proximity to Lake Wendouree, which offered us a relaxing walk to wind down after the long days. Beautiful place, convenient location, great amenities
The property is beautiful, practical and spacious. The area is quiet and an easy walk to Lake Wendouree for coffee and dinner. Short drive to CBD or Wendouree for shopping, supplies or other activities. This accommodation is beautifully decorated with a lot of detail. Loved the gas log fire to keep us warm in the Ballarat winter. Traci is the perfect host, was quick to respond and was very obliging with our extra request. Thank you Traci.

Lovely property in good location.
Lovely townhouse, has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is great and allowed us to stay in and cook meals. Great to have Netflix and the fire in winter! Easy walk around the lake too!

Cosy gas fire, much needed for a Winter stay. Great open plan design. Lovely kitchen. Bath was nice. Stayed 3 nights. Would be nice if all short term rentals used no fragrances for the linen to help with allergies and low tox living. Water pressure was low. Walking distance to cafes for a morning coffee and a short drive to Main Street, shops, cafes and restaurants. Internet is shared with another rental, if there is problems with connection, your stay may be interrupted.

A lovely stay
The house was spotlessly clean and everything worked. We had a really comfortable stay and would recommend the house. A few kilometres from the CBD, but a good bus service which sadly finishes a little early, but the walk back is very pleasant.
