Front desk staff is friendly, they seem to be doing the best they can. Amenities include a room with a bed, desk, and bathroom. Room has an "antique" smell, like wet wood. There is a resort fee for a mediocre "continental breakfast" with cold cereals, bagels, yogurt and coffee/tea. Staff didn't clean the room or replace linen during my 3-night stay. $17/day to park in garage.

This hotel is centrally located to restaurants and shopping right by the water front. I enjoyed the charm and history in the area. My room was super cute, I upgraded to the vaulted ceiling room. The bathroom was upgraded, clean and modern. The staff was beyond helpful and friendly! Dinner places that I went to nearby included the steakhouse at the Sagamore, an great pizza place that’s open late, an ice cream parlor, and I noticed a hot pot soup place across the street that looked amazing but I didn’t have time to go. There are cute stores and shopping (all walking distance) and lots of fun looking bars all around.

I don't think I would stay at this hotel again. The building is very old and the rooms are lacking some basic hotel amenities. They are in the midst of performing an interior renovation project which reportedly includes all the guest rooms, perhaps the renovations will address some of these items.

Convenient location. Building is very old and rooms needing repairs. This property used to provide valet parking but does not provide this service now. Parking is limited and costly. Meters need constant checking, very inconvenient. Many businesses have moved from this are due to high crime levels in Baltimore the ones remaining still provide some nice dinning and bar hoping. We stayed on a monday night so things were a little more calm than on weekends. The building and room definitely need some maintenance. They were doing some remodeling in the main lobby area.

Do NOT stay here. This hotel acts like it is a beautiful, historic landmark. It is old, run down, and flat out gross. I stayed here for a weekend and paid over $700 for two nights. The floor I was on had the horrific smell of raw sewage my entire stay. The room itself had no fridge and was extremely dark and felt old. There were two lamps in the entire room. You basically sat in the dark. The bathroom was nice enough yet the hot water barely worked. The breakfast was an absolute joke. Bread and cereal was just about all they offered. It was more continental BREAD than breakfast. Yes, the location is amazing. But whats the point of having a a great location if the place you're staying in is a dump? I would have rather stayed at much more affordable and clean hotel a few blocks away. The Canopy hotel was basically the same rate and offers a much cleaner, brighter, and overall more positive experience. Please please do not be fooled by this hotel. It is not a place you want to close your eyes in. Trust me.

Great place
Excellent stay at an excellent hotel. The room had a couple small issues with the condition (minor flaws in the flooring and the old windows are hard to see out of as they're discolored. That's the only thing keeping them from a 5 star review. Everything else from cost, location, and customer service were all top notch. That is why this is our 4th stay at this hotel. Its a GREAT hotel.

Best part about this hotel is by far the location. The rooms were average at best. Beds and pillows were poor and the air conditioner didn’t work. Ok for a quick one night stay but look elsewhere for extended stays.
