My stay at The Canoe hotel was absolutely exceptional from the moment we stepped through the door. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, anticipating my needs before we even had to ask. The mountain view room made every mornings even more special. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the city for free with a bus ticket provided by the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a excellent experience with outstanding service. Special mention to Dan who find a last minute shuttle to the airport, he was really committed to help even on my last hour at the hotel, I was truly impressed and satisfied.
Blowing cold air all night when it's -20°C outside might not be ideal for a good night's sleep. This could happen, but the response from the reception the morning after checkout was extremely disappointing. They simply said they would send someone to look into it
Room was nicely decorated and very clean however the room took forever to heat up and floors where always freezing. Also building D's location is inconvenient if taking public transport because we had to walk up and down that super steep roadway. Also the hotel is a tad too far from downtown Banff for my liking.
The Mountain View room is a must here! The room was spacious enough for 2 people and luggage. The refrigerator is small so if you plan to take left overs back with your from dinner keep that in mind. The place was clean. The pool and fire pit were an added bonus to the trip. So many great restaurant options in there area and not a far walk to town. Overall we had a great experience! And free coffee at the hotel was delish
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The rooms were exceptionally clean and very spacious, creating a comfortable and relaxing environment. Breakfast at Sudden Sally was absolutely the best , the food was delicious, and the ambiance was wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect place to stay.
This is the first time staying here since the property was renovated. It is a well done refurbishment and upgrade. The room was spacious and the beds are comfortable. The hot tub area is very good. The restaurant is good, although pricey, but then everything in Banff is on the expensive side.
Great no complaints other than the heater in our room was a bit loud and it would continue to be on even once the temperature it was set at was reached
