Accommodations were fine, but relatively overpriced. Management was unresponsive in dealing with an issue, which prompted me to leave early.
The Good:
Comprehensive array of cooking equipment.
High visual perspective provides distant views.
Good use of square footage, provides for very good social space.
The Bad:
Check-in procedure is time-consuming. It took about an hour, from arriving at the rental office to being in the room.
Very limited loading-zone parking. There are 5 spots for loading/unloading at the building entrance, so arriving/departing guests must stand-by at gate-house.
Guest parking is, I'm guessing, about 1000' from the building. Shuttles are available, which seemed about 50/50 for convenience compared to walking.
While the distant views from the balcony were impressive, the wood and wood-furniture on the balcony needs maintenance.
Management was unresponsive. I did not receive a WiFi password, at check-in. The management office is closed after 5pm and on weekends, which made it impossible to obtain the password during my scheduled stay. The person working the "after-hours" phone line seemed largely indifferent to this non-emergency. As Internet access was an important need for me, I departed Sugar Top the following morning. I was, later, told that they sent someone to confirm that the router worked; which, while good to know, wasn't the issue I called about.
