Lived up to the reviews on handiness to shopping and dining. Clean rooms, nice beds. Could tell it was older/dated but added charm. Great place to stay

Susie in the office was great and very resourceful! She was wonderful to talk to. For the price, rooms need a bit of updating - including microwaves, but overall comfortable. Would stay here again. Location and accessibility is great.

Property was great, staff was super nice, extremely convenient and walkable to all the shops and restaurants. My only issue was the wifi was subpar and there was a droplet of dried blood on the bed sheets.

Good value motel
We had a lovely stay at the Anchorage. As others have described, it's an older property. It's clean and comfortable, but you definitely notice the age. And first floor hears 2nd floor walking. But the price is lower than most everything in Bar Harbor. The staff, especially Susie, were wonderful. Super knowledgeable, and helpful would definitely stay again!

Location was easy to get to. Only a few minutes drive to Acadia National Park. Easy walking to the downtown and harbor area so we didn’t have to drive or pay for parking. Basic motel in a safe location.

Close to downtown, quick walk to everywhere. Friendly staff, I decided to stay an extra day, they booked me, same room, and same price, which was $75 less than what they were asking.

We weren’t sure what to expect staying at a motel but this was such a great place to stay! The place was well maintained and located just a few minutes from Bar Harbor downtown. There was a good amount of people walking around the area even after dark, which made us feel safe. The staff at the office was super nice and welcoming. Room was clean and the landscape paintings of Acadia was a nice touch. Very convenient for our visit to Acadia National Park.

This property does not resemble the pictures posted. Very outdated rooms with wall paneling buckling, no fan in bathroom, no blow dryer, AC that barely worked, wifi that wasnt even enough to feed the room tv. The staff were very friendly.
