Acadia National Park: Acadia National Park: In 1913, President Woodrow Wilson set aside 6000 acres (within what is now Acadia National Park) as Sieur de Monts National Monument. With the acquisition of more land and private support and funding, in 1919 President Wilson signed an act establishing Lafayette National Park. In 1929 the park's name was changed to Acadia. Acadia National Park was established to protect the area's spectacular scenic values, Maine's rock bound coast, its coastal and its offshore islands as characterized by the geologic features, natural history and the native plant and animal life. Forty five miles of rustic carriage roads weave around the mountains and through the valleys of Acadia National Park, the gift of philanthropist John D Rockefeller, Jr., and family. Rockefeller, a skilled horseman, desired to travel on motor free byways via horse and carriage into the heart of Mount Desert Island. His efforts resulted in roads with sweeping vistas and close up views of the landscape.

Cadalic Mountain: Cadillac Mountain: At 1,530 feet, Cadillac Mountain is not only the tallest mountain in Acadia National Park, but also the tallest mountain along the eastern coast of the United States. Rising high above the town of Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mountain offers magnificent views of the Porcupine Islands and Frenchman Bay. Explore the summit of this granite mountain along a .3-mile trail, which includes wayside exhibits about natural and human history. Portions of this trail are accessible to wheelchair users. Cadillac Mountain is accessible via a winding, narrow, 3.5-mile road. The road is closed from December 1 through April 14 and whenever weather conditions (e.g., dense fog or ice) require.

beautiful, clean cabin
The cabin was extremely clean and had all the supplies you need. The house is a direct walkout to the lake and perfect for spending the day paddling, swimming etc. Very peaceful at night with the loons calling. Our family with two teens loved it.

Wonderful and relaxing
This is the second time we’ve stayed in one of Josh’s properties. The house was spotless when we arrived. Fully equipped with all you could need - canoe, kayaks, pots and pans, dishwasher. Bedding was nice and plenty of towels. Property was quiet - especially during the week. We watched the loons and bald eagles daily. Our golden retriever loved swimming in the lake and chasing frisbees off of the dock.

This camp was perfect! The view and lake access were amazing and we had a camp fire nightly. My husband caught a 15” smallmouth bass off the dock and my mom loved reading her book by the water. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are less than an hour drive. The camp was beautiful inside, very clean, and included everything needed…even complementary s’more supplies. Our dog took many naps on the dock.

Perfect getaway
We were very pleased with our trip to the Beech Hill pond property. The house is adorable and was clean and well stocked upon our arrival. The pond is clear and large. We enjoyed 3 days on a pontoon boat that we rented from Josh, who delivered it right to the dock and even showed us the ins and outs of the lake. He was a great host and very easy to communicate with. It was cool to watch bald eagles and seaplanes flying over the pond. Acadia NP, Cadillac mountain and Bar Harbor were an easy drive away and made for fun day trips. Thanks Josh! We would definitely return to one of your properties!

August 2023 Vacation
We have been booking through VRBO for years and I believe this is the top property we have rented. When we first saw the property it is evident that The Greer's have much pride in their properties. The house was immaculate and all touches are first class. There was not one thing we needed that wasn't already provided. We loved hanging out on the dock and the wildlife was fantastic! My son and grand daughter loved the kayaks and canoe. I would highly recommend this property for any vacation!

The perfect getaway!
The cabin was pristine, the lake was clean and warm, and the location was fantastic! We will absolutely be back! Side note: while you feel like you’re away from it all (enjoy the absolute silence in the evenings!) Instacart does deliver there…so you don’t need to trudge into town and lose lake time getting those random forgotten items.

Just Don't
Our vacation group drove from VA to ME. We rented this house and another one 2 miles away on the same road (different property manager). Half of our group of stayed here. The house is cute. It has 2 kayaks and a canoe that are nice for use on the lake. It also has a nice permanent and floating dock. There is a fire pit. These few positive features do not come anywhere close to making up for all the problems with this property. The pictures of the house are misleading. They give an impression of a spacey interior. The house is actually tiny and crowded inside. It is also squeezed in between 2 other houses with very little space on each side. There is no privacy. Those issues, however, were not the real problem. From the beginning, there was very little water pressure or regular hot water. There were 6 people staying in this 7 person house, and they were unable to take regular showers and often had to go to our other rented house to shower. Washing clothes was out of the question. Instead they had to take their clothes to a laundry mat. It had rained for a couple of days causing the inside doors to swell. The doors could not be closed. I contacted the property manager/host about the problems. He sent the care taker to fix them. He and one of our party looked into the water pressure issue, but nothing was resolved. The caretaker couldn't fix the doors until after we left. Half of those staying there returned to VA midweek because they were so dissatisfied. Partial refund denied.

Exceeded expectations!
We stayed a week in Maine in another location before arriving at this Greer Cabin. Oh my goodness what a wonderful way to wind up our Maine get-away. Just wished we had not wasted a whole week at the first place. I can't imagine how the actual location on the lake could have been topped. It is gorgeous! Trees, blue skies, cool clear water, dock, anchored raft, Adirondack chairs, fire ring, outdoor dining table and chairs, kayaks, canoe and paddleboard! Am I dreaming??? As for the accommodations...it was so clean! and looked new! The owners thought of everything: from the very well equipped kitchen...the frig is better than mine at home, coordinated dishes, 2 different sized sets of drinking glasses, coffee cups, small, medium, large pots with lids, 3 frying pans, a lobster pot, large vegetable strainer, all kinds of useful utensils, bakeware, toaster, coffee pot with filters and coffee...to name a few. The beds were comfy and the linens soft and clean with several lofty pillows. The bathroom was spacious and came stocked with plenty of bath towels and washcloths, but only 2 hand towels. There was a lovely washer/dryer. Lighting was excellent with several recessed ceiling lights and at least one lamp in all rooms. Air conditioning was adequate with a split system installed in the wall between the kitchen and dining areas. Without ductwork into bedrooms and loft things got a little uncomfortable at night with bedroom doors closed...so we left them open. We also "borrowed" a fan from the loft and used it in the bedroom. Living room couches and chair were quite comfy and the dish TV and WIFI worked without a hitch. We really could not have asked for anything more. next year we would love to stay for 2 weeks! Thanks for everything!

Cozy Cottage
The cottage is exactly how it is described. There were 5 of us, two adults and three teenagers. So for us, it was okay, I can’t imagine any more fitting comfortably. We did it so everyone had their own bed. This property is pet friendly, we were going to bring our dog but last minute had someone to watch her. I feared that being a dog friendly place there would be dog hair all over and it would smell musty or like wet dog……we were pleasantly surprised. No smell or even a hint that pets were allowed here. The property was very clean upon arrival and entrance is through a code on the door. There are two kayaks, one canoe and a paddle board that we used daily accept for the two days of rain. Acadia National Park is a must see attraction and plan on spending a good part of the day there. Must sees there are Cadillac Mountain (which you need a reservation for prior, easy to do on your phone/online before you go where you have WiFi) you also need a parking pass to enter the park in general-it’s good for one week. Thunder Hole is another great attraction , they say to get there a couple of hours prior to high tide. We loved the lake and will look into staying at another Greer property in the future, but one a little bigger for us if possible. Overall we all enjoyed our stay. It was nice, quiet and very relaxing. Listening to the loons in the evening while roasting marshmallows on the campfire was amazing! Thank you!

It is evident from the moment you check in how much pride Josh and his family have poured into this home. Thoughtful amenities and wonderful communication, had us feeling relaxed the moment we arrived. From sunrise coffee on the dock to sunset boat rides we enjoyed it all! Highly recommend renting a pontoon boat to enjoy all of the pond. We will surely return!

Cozy Cabin
The cabin, property and location were amazing. The hosts left a much appreciated basket of treats for us. It was a clean and friendly atmosphere. The only less than perfect thing to point out is that it really only sleeps 4 adults (and they must sleep together 2&2) - the other beds are suitable for children. Overall a great experience.
