Outstanding location close to everything which made our stay fun. But ... Perhaps apartment could benefit from linens being upgraded, towels were thin, comforters had small stains, no dish towels, no lighting over stove (in case you want to cook), living room rug and bedroom rugs were quite dirty. Televisions in living room and master bedroom did not work. Button for flushing toilet in master bath missing. When I nicely informed the owner she rebuffed me.

Pre-cruise adventure
We wanted to spend a couple of days in Barcelona before we got on a cruise ship. The property was the perfect option for exploring the city and seeing the sites. We had plenty of room for our group of 6. It was a great way to start out our trip and we would love to come back based on our positive experience.

Great Location!
Balcony looks at back of Casa Batllo. Clean and comfortable. Was told due to construction it would be noisy…..it was NOT. A lot of stair climbing. Near food, subway and Rodalies that takes you to airport. Also near Hop on Hop off bus.

Beautiful Apartment
The apartment was just as beautiful as the pictures! The beds were so cozy, great showers with excellent water pressure and, the place was immaculate. The building was under construction, and while we did not notice ANY sort of construction dust in the apartment at all…the stairs were brutal (especially when carrying our suitcases up and down) and probably should have been mentioned in the listing. There was also a city tax that we had to pay upon checking in in cash that we could not find mentioned in the listing, however, after doing much research, it is a very common fee to pay….so just be prepared. Check in was super easy, and the apartment was centrally located to so many great bakeries and restaurants. We would stay here again without question!!

Fantastic apartment in great location
This apartment adequately catered for 5 adults and 2 youngsters for a city break. Perfect location to walk or access to the Metro. a really stylish apartment with a nice spacious balcony too. They could have forewarned about the building works in the entrance lobby though. Lift was out of action so the 3 flights of stairs would be a strugle for the less able bodied.

Beautiful property, good location. Very nice and clean. A few things could have been better. Be aware there are 62 steep marble stairs to get to the unit. Elevator does not work during a large construction project. So you get the noise and dust of that. Stairs with suitcases is challenging and if your elderly, forget about it Pretty sparse on having anything available, no paper towels, sugar and water. Not fun hunting to buy the basics when your an a vacation. Took some time to get the host to respond but when she finally did communicate well. We speak Spanish as well so that helped. Be aware at check-in someone will hit you up for a tourism tax….so have euros available.. for me it was 24 euro. I would have assumed this was handled by Vrbo, but apparently not the case. So be prepared. With a few minor tweaks this could have been perfect , but if you’re considering staying here get a status on the construction and stair situation. Many other reviews mention this as well.

As others have mentioned, this is a wonderful spacious apartment in a central location. The construction is annoying but we were prepared for it and it didn’t impact our stay. Once it is complete, this will be an ideal rental. However, communication is a problem. Although I reached out weeks before our trip, Ingrid waited until the last minute to tell me that we had to pay a 70€ fee on top of taxes in cash upon arrival. Since we were already traveling and didn’t have sufficient cash, we had to get additional cash at the airport after a late flight with kids, which was needlessly stressful.

We had such a great time staying here. It was in a great location for both sites to visit and places to eat. We were not bothered by the construction, there was noise and some dust but it was ok. The elevator is not working so taking luggage up 4 flights of stairs may be hard for some. Plenty of space for 4 adults.

Perfect week in Barcelona
Batlló House is a gorgeous property, steps always from the best Barcelona has to offer. We loved our stay. The apartment is exactly what you can see from the photos and more. Situated in the same city block as Casa Batlló (one of Gaudi’s masterpieces), you can see the back of this landmark from the apartment’s balcony. This property is the place to be if you wish to treat yourself (and family) and feel like a million bucks! Great communication with the owner! I have already recommended this property to close friends planning a trip to Barcelona. 5 stars is not enough.

The apartment itself was great. The problem was that the building was under renovation. The lift was not working and the entrance was a construction area. Overall the host was uncooperative and unwilling to yield on anything.

Good location, HOWEVER, we were in the middle of a construction zone - common areas (entry, stairs, elevator (not working) - dust, debri, exposed wires, hazards, inconvenience, noise - It may be worth the price once renovation is completed but certainly NOT in current condition. There was a power failure in building when checking out - difficult to manuever 3 flights of dark stairways to get out. Communication was not the greatest - never got address or check in info until 24-48 hours before arrival - way too late, especially when we were in transit and having to make pickup arrangements for other activities. Wasn't wild about getting a text 24 hrs before arrivial re: having to pay in cash an additional 60 euros (5 euro per person, per night) tax upon checkin.

A real gem in Barcelona
We arrived and felt that we were in a Design magazine home. The apartment is huge with high ceilings and has been totally modernized and has very high end furnishings, art work, and decor. We had many beds and 3 modern bathrooms w/toilets and showers. It is located in the most posh area of Barcelona, Eixample, and countless restaurants, cafes, shopping surround. The highlight was that our floor to ceiling windows and balcony looked at the back of Casa Batllo!!! We were just around the corner from this UNESCO World Heritage site along with Casa Amatlier and Casa Mila! It was fantastic to have our own kitchen for breakfast and coffee at home as well. We highly recommend a stay in this real gem of Barcelona.

Property is exactly as pictured. Very beautiful. It is in such a convenient area near shops, restaurants, etc. we walked to most places. Communication with host(s) was fine. No issues there. Ideally the construction on elevator would be complete but it wasn’t terrible at all. And no one was working during our stay so it was peaceful. Overall great stay!

Barcelona Batllo House
The property is situated in a wonderful location on the block of Batllo House, and close distance to public transportation, restaurants, cocktail bars, and shopping. Property was nicely furnished with comfortable beds, furniture, and very nice showers. Ongoing construction in the stairwell probably led to more dust in the property but it was very noticeable. Deep cleans between visitors until construction is complete is my recommendation. Checkin process was very smooth, and the property manager was present on arrival to explain the property, and available by contact during our stay. However, checkin instructions provided near arrival date explain extra chargers for late day and/or weekend arrivals. Not necessary a big issue but it was an added fee not explained at checkin on top of other fees already paid. Kitchen worked well but could use some oven pans, additional dish cloths, and a new set of knives and cutting boards. Overall, a very wonderful stay at this property in Barcelona. We had a family of 6 with grandparents and kids included.

Great Location & Beautiful Place
Our family loved the place and the location. It's on a nice tree lined street that leads right to the center of everything. In the immediate area there's the Casa Batllo, good shopping and a pastry shop on the street below that was awesome. They're putting the finishing touches on construction, so the elevator wasn't working, but the place itself was immaculate.

Beautifully renovated apt w lots of space, clean and comfy beds. We were there on a weekend, building lobby and stairs under renovation. But there was no construction noise- 3rd floor with stairs bc elevator also under Reno. Seemed to have everything one would need. Would stay here again!
