Super convenient and comfortable stay, within walking distance to the main tourist attractions but also out of the way enough that we were able to escape some of the business and explore some more local spots. Very easy check and in and staff were friendly.

Cleaning lady was the sweetest lady! We definitely loved the place, but it was 30 minute metro from center and kind of felt unsafe in the area. It was dirty area with a lot of dark alleys. Hallways smelled like cigarettes the first two days, even though we were in a non-smoking room. Other than that, good AC, small but quaint, and renovated compared to photos on Booking! Good experience, thank you!

Check-in was easy. Just make sure to contact the hotel if you’re checking in early or late to make sure that there’s gonna be someone to assist you. There are 3 bathrooms available. I don’t mind sharing washrooms, but I hoped that they’ll clean it everyday-they didn’t. It was slippery, runs out of toiletries and lotsa hair in some washroom. Other than that, it was okay since we are mostly outdoors.

A fairly good accommodation

I stayed with my friend in a twin room with a private bathroom and in general this was a clean and comfortable accommodation. It is close to the main attractions - it took us 15-20min to La Bouqeria market and La Rambla, 20min to the Gothic quarter and around 15min to the Montjuic neighbourhood (La Sagrada familia would be around 40mins by foot). If you don't enjoy a lot of walking, this place is well connected to all the other parts of the city with public transport and taxis that pass by often. There is someone at the reception at almost all times, so you can ask for help or assistance if needed. You can expect to get towels, soap, shampoo and toilet paper, so you wouldn't have to worry about that. Also, the super market, pharmacy, some small cafes and fast food chains are really close by (5min walk). On the other hand, you can expect slightly more noise than usual because the walls are very thin and the rooms are right next to each other, so you won't have complete silence (but this didn't bother us that much). Also, people we met in this hostel are not that fluent in English, so the communication isn't always clear and it would help you if you knew even a little bit of Spanish (at least to understand them). All in all, this was a good place for the price we paid with no major red flags and I would recommend it.
