Definitely not luxurious
Old building with an extra small elevator and small lobby as well. Stairs to the rooms. Hotel is hidden away- no visible sign. However it’s centrally located. Rooms are basic. Bathroom definitely lacks privacy. Towels are old and breed yo be replaced.

Staff superb. Location great with nice dining choices nearby. At night walls vibrate with noise from motor (of a pump or a/c?). Also, in order to access elevator one must walk a flight of 8 stairs. So, if you have mobility issues this is not the place for you.

Location , cleanliness and staff are great. However our room was next to the front desk. We can hear incoming phone rings, people talking, staff greeting people … some time phone calls were pretty late . We couldn’t rest well.

Great place to stay especially for a short visit
This is a great hotel if you just care for a short visit. We were 3 in the room so the room was a bit small otherwise the location is great close to the Gothic area and cafes and restaurants. The hotel was very responsive and commutative when we had questions prior to our stay.

Excellent location. Room small but confortable. Only issue was that we were not able to control temperature in our room. It felt very hot at night, thermostat was fixed at 18 degrees, but in fact was more like 23-24, really hot for someone from cold climate regions like us.

Not sure how the cleaning lady cleaned but there were were bleach spots on our pyjamas, something we noticed first when we left. Why anybody would be cleaning around the bed with bleach is beyond me. So that really ruined the experience. Also the heating didn't work the first night so it was very cold. They explained that all the ACs were connected so if one guest turned it on that it would be turned in all the rooms which also made absolutely no sense. So they really need to work on the hospitality part.

Place is great if you’re planning on being out all day as we did! The double twin bed was uncomfortable to sleep in with your significant other to be expected and the room we had did not have a view. Other than that the place is up to date,clean, and the front desk was super nice and happy at all times. I would recommend.

Room and bed were clean. Staff was kind and exceptionally accommodating for early check-in (an hour before scheduled time) as they had rooms already cleaned and ready. My only concern was in terms of the noise as the hotel is in an old building. Nonetheless, very nice location (12 min walk from Plaça Catalunya). Overall, good price vs quality ratio, especially for Barcelona.
