This is the place to choose if you want a nice place to stay and like to feel cheated!
Although the booking site clearly said “free breakfast, free wi-fi and free parking”, the first thing they said at check in, was that we had to pay extra for the breakfast. Even when we showed them our confirmation where the free breakfast was noted, as well as the booking site, they were stubborn and demanded payment for the breakfast. They just showed us a paper from Hotels.com that said “without breakfast”. Can it really be so, that Hotels.com says one thing to the customers and another thing to the hotels? How can we trust the site then?
Our next surprise was when they denied payment by card, even though they said in the ad, that it should be ok. We were told to take the car to a petrol station down the road, to get money there. Their explanation was that the equipment was new and didn’t work yet. But if you read old reviews, you can see that this is an old trick, to avoid card fees. Another woman said that the problem was the poor internet connection in the area. Strange, because the wifi in the room worked fine!
It’s a pity, really, that they behave like this, because the place itself was nice and the breakfast was good!
