The Space
The outside is calling, but so is the inside. This 3,929 square foot, 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home is filled with classic wood floors, saltillo tiles, limestone fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling stone, and covered verandas with splashes of modern art and modern amenities throughout. Each individual suite has been styled with comfort in mind and can sleep up to 12 guests in total.
Don't pack any hustle or bustle. Located amongst the pine-oak forest just outside of Bastrop sits Tarcoola Ranch, a 5-acre waterfront ranchette nestled on the banks of the Colorado River. Surrounded by the privacy of nature, this home is the perfect hill country getaway to relax and recharge.
Whether you want to whip something up or warm something up, the kitchen has got you covered. 2 ovens, 2 sinks, and a dedicated coffee area make this fully loaded kitchen a chef's dream! The walk-in pantry and attached laundry room include yet another sink and more storage for all your grubbing and scrubbing needs.
This living room is not messing around. Located on the main entry level, you might not even notice the 75” wall-mounted TV, with the incredible views out of the expansive glass windows. Looking out over the covered deck, you'll see the water beckoning you, but you'll need to take in the surround sound speakers, enormous fireplace wall and built-in bookcases first. Adjacent to the living room is a large dining table that seats 8, with bar stools for overflow (or introverts) at the bar.
We put the flex in “flex space.” The game room is located on the lower level and shows off with its pool table, wet bar, fireplace, 65" TV, pub table, and multiple doors out to the covered patio, lawn, and access to the riverfront.
Nature awaits! After you've ooh-ed and ahh-ed inside, step out into the lush pastures, native trees, fields of wildflowers, and almost 1,200 feet of riverfrontage. With multiple outdoor spaces and expansive decks, you'll have prime opportunities to spot the 5 longhorn cattle that share the land while entertaining both indoors and out.

Interaction with Guests
It's self-check-in using a code. All the access codes will be provided to you before your arrival.
You'll have complete privacy during your stay, but we're available 7 days a week. Should you need anything, just send us a message!
Other things to note
Please do not feed the longhorns you may see around the property.
Guests must climb stairs inside the home.
We provide some bath essentials like soap, shampoo, conditioner, body gel, toilet paper, and some garbage bags. Please note that these are not replenished during your stay.
Daily house cleaning is not available however, if you would like a mid-stay cleaning, one can be arranged for a fee. Please let us know in advance.
Guests will need to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation and/or upon arrival.
A security deposit may be required prior to arrival or at check-in, subject to the booking platform used to make the reservation. This fee is charged as a credit card transaction and refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met.
We kindly ask all guests to abide by these HOUSE RULES:
- Travelers must be at least 21 years old or older to book.
- No smoking of any kind (tobacco, cannabis, etc.) inside the home, and the use of any recreational drugs on the premises is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will incur a $300 penalty.
- No parties, events, or illegal activities are permitted, and no excessive noise, especially between 10:00 pm and 7 am, will be tolerated. Please respect the neighbors.
- No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed.
- Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or extra-cleaning charges if needed after their stay.
- Renters may be required to provide a government ID on check-in day or during their stay when identity verification is necessary.
- Pets are not allowed.
The Neighborhood
Swim, fish, tube, or kayak along the Bastrop-Wilbarger Paddling Trail. The 14.3-mile riparian corridor welcomes your paddling adventures with amazing birding and fishing opportunities, given the diversity of plant and animal life along this stretch of the Colorado River.
Getting around
The nearest international airport is Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS/KAUS) 21.7 miles | 35 km away. We recommend getting around by car as there are no public transportation options. There's plenty of parking in the circle drive and on the grounds for 3-4 cars.
