Stayed here for one night on new year's. Was a comfortable stay, our room was quite a way from the entrance - up and down stairs and corridors, not a problem for us but could be difficult for someone with mobility issues. Room was a good size and had shower gels, tea and coffee. Comfy bed. Had dinner in the evening which was nice though seemed there was only 2 vegetarian options so a couple more would have been better. Breakfast was nice and a good amount of options. Staff were really friendly. Would stay again and recommend to friends and family.

I would have given better but our booking was cancelled at 4pm on Christmas day. I am still waiting for a response from Managers. Myself, my partner and our dog slept in our car on Christmas evening. A Christmas we will not be forgetting!

The parking situation was not ideal. No directions or signage til at the underground garage. Have to obtain password from reception to unlock padlock to pull heavy metal gate open then closed. No direct route to hotel. So you drag luggage round the main road to the front of the pub/hotel.
This was a very late booking and we unfortunately got the last available room, room 16, which is directly above the pub and right outside the Granary. We could sing along to all the songs that were playing and hear the foul conversations people were having outside until the pub closed at (around) midnight. The room itself is very outdated and in poor condition. The carpets have marks, the beds are not the most comfortable, the paint is peeling off in many places in the bathroom and the flushing mechanism takes A LOT of force to push down. The upside is that the staff were friendly and a pleasure to deal with, the hotel is pet friendly and the included breakfast is very good.

Hotel room was a bit tired but the staff were very polite and helpful and the facilities where very good
I have stayed here a few times, in both single and double rooms. The rooms have always been clean with nice toiletries and I have enjoyed a very fulfilling vegan breakfast. It is a busy pub so it can sometimes take longer to be served drinks but the staff I've met are all friendly and I look forward to going back next year.
The morning staff were very friendly and helpful and served a very good breakfast, The evening staff on the other hand were disinterested and offered a basic service. The bar/restaurant area was very busy in the morning and at lunchtime. The layout and lighting were typical of a daytime establishment, a contributing factor in the lack of ambience in the evening.
Lighting in our very small bedroom and bathroom was poor. I was expecting a shower cubicle rather than a bath with an overhead shower as a result of an exchange of emails I had at the time of booking. The bed was very comfortable as was the heating (we did have to ask twice for it to be turned on arrival day).
All in all we enjoyed our stay in Frome but probably wouldn’t stay at The George Hotel and Granary when we next visit the area.

The room was small, tired and need redecorating.
The room was tired and need redecorating. No curtain on the bathroom window, which looked out on to a main road. The double bed was very small.
The food was great and the staff were friendly, apart from one lady who had a constant bad attitude.
We enjoyed our stay with work colleagues on the way to a conference. The George is an old building with what seemed like a maze of corridors to the bedrooms. But once you are there, rooms were clean, comfortable with good hospitality trays (nice big mugs for tea!) and attractive toiletries. Staff were all friendly and personable, remembering names and details so we could enjoy a laugh together. Good value for the price. Would stay again. Parking is a squeeze especially if you have a big car.
Friendly staff. I am nearly 6'7" (2m.) tall and the bedwas long enough. An excellent breakfast.

Very dissapointed by my stay which never happened due to storm Bert. See attached e mail which the hotel have not even had the decency to reply to . They were quick enough to take my £84.00.
