Near the highway convenient if you need to sleep for the night. But the internet would not connect on my laptop! And I needed to work, so I had to leave the hotel to find somewhere with decent internet. The hallway around my room was smelly. Someone left their food and room service plates near the table by the elevator. Those plates were there when I checked in and checked out. Also, no one was attending the desk when I checked out around 7 am.

room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the food good. We love the Drury. Always great to have a hot breakfast and evening food and drinks. When we go out of town we always look for a Drury first.

I gotta hand it to Drury Inn & Suites. They have the most stellar level of hospitality one could ask for. My husband and I travel an insane amount. From California to Europe and literally everywhere in between. And often! We stay at very posh & luxurious hotels, all sorts of airbnbs, and love to include budget-friendly chain hotels as well. We are all over the place on our choices. While Drury Inn in Baton Rouge isn’t as decorative or luxurious as the Taj Mahal, they are OVER THE TOP with their friendliness, helpfulness, and all-around hospitality. Trust me. We’ve stayed at plenty of hotels in the Baton Rouge area. Some may have a more appealing name brand or frilly look to them but the paper-thin walls and careless staff left us severely disappointed. I won’t name names. About Drury…..The hotel is super clean (thank God). Housekeeping does a fantastic job. The evening manager’s special (or whatever they call it) was great. Good selection of food and adult beverages (complimentary). The servers were so warm and friendly, I found myself wanting to hug their necks. Even the checkin lady was welcoming and just had a brightness about her. Their level of eye-contact and smiles and genuine friendliness prompted me to write this and brag on them and the hotel itself. Clean place. Great parking. Good food. Lots of beverage options (again, complimentary). I highly recommend it.
