The suite photos are better than reality
There’s a strange smell on all the linens as if they weren’t washed after the previous guests. The shower curtains were too short so water drips and pools on the floor when taking a shower, and has to be cleaned up after each use. There’s no elevator so this might be an issues if someone has a disability, I don’t recall this being disclosed when booking and had to assist my senior aunt with getting up 4 flights of stairs. One of the mind boggling issues was the text I received the day prior to check out with one line about “be sure to tidy up”… and to be cognizant of towel use as they are “charged by weight” for washing? Huh, Are we expected to make the beds or clean the suite before we leave? Shouldn’t any type of tidying up be done by the cleaning staff hired for this property including taking out the trash, which you will be expected to do? And I’ve never been in a place with a towel use restriction. Several of the outlets within the unit also didn’t work. The saving grace for this suite is that we didn’t see any bugs and the bed is comfy.

Not the Ritz but I’d definitely stay again
This is not the Ritz, but I knew that when I booked it. What it is: clean, comfortable and convenient. The shared bathroom wouldn’t be my first choice but again, it’s not the Ritz which is why the price is reasonable. The lack of options in terms of TV channels allowed me to appreciate how much I have missed Frasier.. I would definitely stay again.

a) no one mentioned it was not a hotel, which is the search filter I used b) it was a third floor walk up, and the stairs were crooked and in creaky c) the wallpaper was peeling. d) The check in was not coordinated with maintenance (I paid $90 for early check in and the bed was broken and cleaning was not notified of my early checkin) The mouse trap in the room and the dead rat outside were definitely turn-offs

This is shouldn't be called a deluxe room at all, not a suite neither. The facility is really old. the flloor is slanted very bad and sqeaks as crazy ! there is no elevator and what's worse is that the stairs are so narrow and it takes a lot to get your luggage to a 4th floor. The sofa bed is of the worst quality. No support at all and it sqeaks as hell as well ! I couldn't sleep at all for two nights there . The moment I moved a bit on the sofa bed, I woke myself up by the sound it makes. There is only a portal AC which is very loud making it practical not possible to use if you still want to sleep. There is no front desk. No early luggage drop-off unless you want to pay for it.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Boston with a bay view. The location of the hotel was great, and it was easy to communicate with the staff. However, I found that the building and room were starting to look tired and could use some updating. On the positive side, there were plenty of things to do in the area, and the check-in process was smooth. Overall, the hotel's location and communication were excellent, but improvements could be made in terms of the building and room condition.

My room had lots of peeling wallpaper and the bed creaked every time you moved at all. The flooring was cheap and poorly laid and moved a bit under your feet. No mirror in the bathroom. One lamp was broken and wobbly. One picture frame was visibly broken. My room was nothing like the pictures.

Overall a great stay! We were in a Cortes Street property, which was a plus and minus. Plus: beautiful area, close to public transit, reasonably priced, cool old building. Minus: old building that is slanted all over the place inside (the stairs slant one way, the room a different way), closed windows weren’t actually closed due to the old frames, and the rooms are dominated by the large bed, which while very comfortable, in our room prevented the bathroom from opening all the way, giving you about 12-16 inches of space to slip in or out. This is an excellent choice for people who just need a landing place while traveling, as in not spending any significant time at the property, and need a secure place to stay. Overall, I’d rate it at a B — great staff, great area, great communication, just the building was old and it showed in some odd ways. Thank you for your accommodation!

The location was terrific for our Boston Marathon visit. Right near the start. Very convenient Back Bay location and felt fairly safe. The outside of the building was ok, but the stairs were pitched throughout the building. The entire building interior, including the room, felt like a very quick paint job and cheap flooring fix of a very old, rundown property. The bed was comfortable, but the room was pretty small and the pictures make it look much nicer than it was. The customer service was very good. Very responsive. We had plenty of available coffee (always good). So good location, responsive service (all virtual), but a very rundown building with a deteriorating paint job and cheap flooring. Wouldn't stay here again.

Biggest downside was The fact that it was located right over a major freeway that had traffic noise all night. otherwise, the neighborhood was great, felt very safe and was within walking distance of the Boston Commons and numerous other sites to see. next time I would spend a little more to stay in one of the less expensive hotels in the area. I

If you are simply looking for a place to sleep, this is just fine. If you plan on spending any amount of time in the room itself, you need to book somewhere else. I booked for business travel so I spent very little time in the room and it worked out okay. Be aware that only some rooms have a bathroom in the suite (luckily mine did).
