BEWARE, COCKROACHES and Poor Attitudes.
Check-in was BAD, Lack of enough staff led to rooms not being ready until after 4m. 5 people in the lobby awaiting rooms, and the staff was rude. The ceilings of outdoor hallways have paint falling off and are in terrible condition, Friday morning there was a COCKROACH on the coffee pot in the lobby, told the front desk clerk and she just plopped it in the trash, saying they forgot to empty the trash night before, As Well as found 2 COCKROACHES in room on the credenza. This hotel needs a complete BUG tenting.

We had a weird room that had adjoining room capability but our door was ripped off so there was just one door between us and the neighbors and they were LOUD. However, the redeeming factor was the pizza restaurant connected to the motel. It was independently owned and operated and they were the sweetest people.

Though the staff was polite, unfortunately, my experience was not up to the expected standard. While the location was convenient, I encountered several significant issues during my stay. Firstly, there was visible mold in the bathroom, which was both concerning and unpleasant. Although the room appeared clean in some areas, some areas were in serious need of cleaning. Additionally, the door lock malfunctioned multiple times, causing a great deal of frustration and making it difficult to feel secure in the room. Lastly, the toilet became clogged on more than one occasion, which must be a common occurrencesince the plunger is in the stairwell. These problems significantly affected the overall quality of my visit. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these maintenance concerns, as they are essential for guest comfort and safety. While the hotel has potential, I would not recommend staying here unless these issues are rectified.

The area had people yelling at each other andnthe elevator was dirty. The room seened somewhat clean, dingy and dusty. The lap shades in the room where dirty, stained and dusty, and the bathroom seemed halfed cleaned. Nothing like the picture on Expedia.

The property is Old... the online pictures were a bit deceiving... rooms were small, breakfast was mediocre... and appeared that either the staff or relatives of staff hung out around the place regularly.... was probably a great hotel way back when.. but todays world, probably need to start over...

Check in was easy and the girl was nice and very informative. The elevator worked but was rusted and dirty. Our room smelled musty. It was clean for the most part but the doors and door facings had black dirt smudges on them. The door that adjoined the neighboring room didn’t lock, It was broken. We were only staying one night so we just toughed it out. I wouldn’t have stayed a second night and I won’t be returning for another stay.

Check-in took over an hour due to the following factors: No front desk clerk upon arrival, waited 25 mins for one to show up. Once she arrived the process only took a few minutes. Rooms 226 and 228 were assigned . Room 228 it was next to impossible to open the door as the light was burnt out in the lock mechanism and there was no indication when the handle needed to be operated.Returned to front desk, once again no clerk in attendance. Waited another 15 mins. Was given another set of keys, still 228 would not open. Returned to front desk for 3rd time. Was assigned room 224. Was able to access. Not more than an hour later was settling into room when not one but two cockroaches scurried across the ceiling. Upon further inspection two more were found,. Complained to front desk and was assigned another room, 223. Which was found to be clean. If there had been other hotels with available rooms we would have left this property and booked elsewhere. The rest of the stay was uneventful, other than it appears to be grossly understaffed. There were multiple occasions when no one was behind the front desk to serve guests. The staff appeared to be trying their best however were called away from the desk to attend other issues constantly. Shakira, Niley and the other staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating, however it seems they were overwhelmed at times. An older property with much upkeep needed, I would look elsewhere for a budget hotel in the Beaufort area.

Worn out. Air conditioner left everything feeling “clammy”. Chair was missing a caster, no hangers for cloths, door had been pushed in leaving it with an unsafe feel. Lamp shade was yellowed with age. I could go on.

The staff at front desk were very nice and friendly. Gave excellent directions to room & general information. The cleaning staff did have the room clean and ready. The inside of the doors were very dirty with black handprints and smudges. This was the front and bathroom doors. Carpet inside entry had black marks. Above bathroom sink ceiling had 2 smashed flies and dark marks. You can not walk to historic downtown from here, need to drive or Uber.

The room was dingy and dirty. No lamp shades on lamps. Blood splatters on bathroom door, looked as if someone sat there shooting up drugs, room smelled like urine and mold, had many problems with room key resulting in the door not opening which resulted in many trips to the office. Microwave was dirty and dingy. It is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed at.
