Jalousie Windows!
Jalousie windows for front, front door, and bathroom -- all working and in excellent shape. This place was built when they were popular, I guess. Impeccably clean place to lay your head for the night. Retro bathroom (it's original and well taken care of, too. I will stay again. Look at the pictures on their Hotels.com site --my room was true to what they show. Low price and affable management.

Got a rash from the sheets. Booked the room a week in advance and I had to convince the lady that I had reserved a room EVEN after I showed her my confirmation. She came to the door in bare feet. I guess you get what you pay for… but they seemed upset that I was there in the first place.

The owners were polite and helpful. The room was not as we expected. Very old and outdated. Crayon marks on the wall and vanity in the bathroom. Not as clean as expected.

The room was so clean. The staff was incredibly nice and the view from my room!? Amazing. I will be returning here whenever I come to town. I was incredibly impressed.

There was confusion about our prepaid reservation. The motel had no record of it. Perhaps that is why the room had not been warmed for our arrival? Overnight temps just below 20 degrees do not go well with concrete floors! (Hot tip: lift your feet while sitting on the toilet) The room was clean and basic. Our need to sleep and shower was met.
