This property was the perfect location for our first trip to Belgium, and well situated for day trips to visit the many historic towns.
Communication with Joke was always great, and she was quick to answer our questions. If you enjoy being out in the beautiful countryside on your own, this is a great choice for you. You see beautiful green pastures as far as you look. It would have been a bit difficult to find on our own. Thankfully Joke led us there. Although it is out in the country, you are close enough to town for groceries, as well as convenient to the major highways when you want to explore further.
The house was well maintained, and quality materials and furnishings had been used. We found the kitchen great for preparing breakfasts, and had it been warmer we would have enjoyed the outdoor dining area. The many bikes in the shed was a nice bonus, and we were able to take a short ride on one of the country roads adjacent to the house.
We booked a two bedroom because of a snoring issue. The sleeping area is really a loft open to the downstairs, and is more of one room separated by louvered doors so that did not help with any noise. For just the two of us it was ok, but feel a second couple would be too tight, and the lack of bedroom privacy would have been an issue. Additionally, you had to walk through one of the 'bedrooms' to go downstairs to the bathroom. The stairs were more of a ladder, and may present a problem for folks with mobility issues. The water pressure in the shower was supurb! The furniture was very comfy. Don't plan on sleeping in as there are no curtains, and the sun will certainly let you know it is time to get up!
Although we enjoyed the house we found it a bit small. There is no place to put your stuff - no closets, cupboards, dressers etc. We ended up having to live out of one suitcase on the kitchen table, and the other in the living room. If these things are not a problem for you I would suggest you book this property.
