Just what we needed!
The four adults enjoyed our stay even my cousin the skeptic. I was expecting a convertible coach, we made the best of it. Location was perfect. The amenities were great and the touches of hospitality were appreciated.

Tourist getaway
This is a great little cottage for a home away from home. It was spacious, clean and very well stocked! It is a little far from all the main attractions, but that's what makes it so peaceful. 🤗 Our family saw so much wildlife while cruising to and from our daily excursions (Outer Banks, Carolina Dunes, Tar Pam Fishing Charters, Carolina Aquarium, and miles and miles of beaches), such as turkey, deer, bear, all kinds of fish and birds, and wild horses. NOTE: If you stay in this cottage or in the area, be mindful of ferry times!

Quaint little cottage
My husband and I traveled to the area for a weekend of wedding festivities. The cottage has been nicely renovated, is charming, roomy and VERY well maintained and clean. It was a perfect choice for many reasons, although closer to the downtown area and within walking distance of shopping and eating would have been nice.

Its the little things....
Check in was super easy, the house was beautiful and clean but it was the little things that left a big impression. The night lights were huge for me! Its so hard to stay in a house that you are not familiar with but the night lights in all the rooms were a great idea! The kitchen had everything including a bottle of wine and cold water in the fridge. The bathrooms all had soaps, lotion and shampoos for use, another great amenity. The area is very quiet in January but that was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for a great stay!

When I opened the door the floor sparkled. I didn’t want to track across the floor and mess it up but heck I had to get in and use the place. Everything we needed was at hand and well taken care of. Of course, when I return to the area, I will look no further than this unit

Great weekend break
Great location for going out to local nature reserves and enjoying a quiet break. Host was great to communicate with. House was excellent for our needs -clean, comfortable - exactly as pictured and some lovely welcoming touches including wine and chocolate. A great, spacious upgraded cottage in a quaint "seaside" village.
We were looking for a small accommodation in or near Belhaven for 2 nights. Fellow Alaskan sailors were cruising in their new trawler and had invited us to rendezvous with them in Belhaven since they recently had damaged their propeller and would be hauled-out at TJ's Marina for 2-3 days during the repairs. The spacious, well-appointed River Town Cottage with 2bedroom/2 bath afforded us THE PERFECT place to be with our friends from Nov. 16-18 in Belhaven. We enjoyed the cottage, the town, the restaurants...everything! Thank you so much for making this a memorable trip for us!
