Very nice staff! Room was clean and the bed fairly comfortable. Downsides were the highway noise is loud (which ended up not keeping me awake so it was ok) and the sink is outside the bathroom. Bathroom is tiny. I still think it’s a great value for the price!

This place is about as close to the freeway you can get. And you’d think in the middle of October they wouldn’t put you on the freeway side because it’s nowhere near booked up. Super loud, didn’t sleep all night. Found a bunch of hairs in the bathroom and shower that didn’t match ours - would never recommend this place.

Great walkable location to downtown. Very close to a coffee shop for our early departure. Room was nothing special,dated,old but workable shower, very tight bathroom layout… but was exactly what we needed for the night and in our price point. Would stay again.

Good location, clean, a bit run down.
Loved the central location of the hotel with easy access to the freeway. Neighborhood seemed safe and there were business (coffee, grocery, restaurants) nearby. The hotel was a bit run down, but clean. Comfortable beds, but the beds were quite high - not good for someone with limited mobility. There were no grab bars in the bathroom/shower, which would have been helpful as I was traveling with my elderly mother.

Good place for a short stay
The room was clean and a decent size. It has been updated except for the bathroom, but it was fine. If your room faces the freeway, like ours did, you'll not be able to sleep unless you wear earplugs. The room did not have a recycling bin, but I used a paper bag and put all the recycling in it, though who knows whether it actually got recycled. The hallways are dim and look a bit shabby, especially around the elevator, but none of that affected our stay. It was a good place for a short stay for the cost. Having Woods Coffee about 50 feet from the front door was a real bonus.

Love the mid century vibe in the large bedroom. Suggest they continue that into the (now outdated early 2000’s rustic) bathrooms as this property is very MCM and it would just be cool to return it to the correct era!

Accommodations were very sparce. The pillows were split and sewn back up to make 2 pillows out of one. So there was really just one pillow per bed. Breakfast options were sad and few. This place is right next to the freeway and they had ALL of the windows open. I closed one to try to cut some of the noise, but was awakened a short time later to the noise of that open window once again.

Although this hotel appears outdated from the outside, the rooms are remodeled, clean and comfortable with very comfortable beds and nice linens. The person at the front desk was helpful and polite. I always stay here when visiting my son.

Right next to the freeway.
It's right next to the freeway, so there's a lot of traffic noise. Overall, the property is run down, but clean. We got a good deal on an executive suite, which gave us more room. The furniture is old, but clean. The bathroom fixtures worked, they're just old.

The Guest House is an excellent basic hotel in a great location. As some have said, it’s a 3-star hotel for a 2-star price. It was everything we needed… clean, quiet and convenient.

The place is okay overall. Nice staff and great location but it needs maintenance and updates. Carpets in the main hallway smell, there’s leaks and the smell of mold because of the leaks. My room was clean but dingy carpets and dark decor just makes the place feel a little sad. Great coffee place next door and it’s close to shopping and downtown.
