Welcome to our family home "De Kraggehof",
Nested in Belt-Schutsloot (close to Giethoorn), one of the less touristy places in the magical nature reserve 'the Weerribben-Wieden'. You feel immediately at ease upon arrival, due to the serenity of the environment and the inviting comfort of our farmhouse.
We renovated the entire place this year to meet modern day standards of living, without loosing the historical touches of its rich history. We look forward to having you!
The farm generally has a lot of open spaces, connecting the kitchen with both the dining area and the living room, which in turn is connected to the garden and its various setups (including two sunny terraces with large tables, plenty of chairs, a comfortable loungeset, a kamado bbq, and a kids play area). All bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and stylishly renovated, providing for a comfortable and pleasant stay for various types of groups. Such as families with (young) children, or (company) retreats.
As our guests you will have access to the entire usable area of the farm and its living quarters, accessible through the main entrance in front or the garden in the back. There are several comfortable terraces and corners in the garden with plenty of seats, two large outdoor dining tables and a children's playground.
Connected to this main part of the farm is also another smaller part of the farm where we oftentimes stay ourselves with our family, however these spaces are not directly accessible from one to the other so we won't be in each other space.
There will be always someone available to help out with anything prior, during, and after you stay.
Getting around is easiest by car, and there is plenty of parking space on or surrounding the property.
If you prefer to travel by public transport Meppel station is the best option and only 14 minutes driving distance. We can always provide you with a taxi number.
We hope you will truly enjoy your stay at the Kraggehof when visiting, and that you are as amazed as we are every time you walk the 'Schutsloterpad' to the 'Waterlelie' restaurant at the lake, strolling across the many little bridges alongside the impeccably kept gardens, wondering about different times..
