Well set up and spacious with nice bathroom facilities, and close enough to the shops for us to walk. We enjoyed a quiet night too, which was a definite plus!

As soon as I opened the door I knew this motel was extraordinary..it felt welcoming, it smelt refreshing. Very well renovated sometime in the past as current owner has been there for 4 months only. Best bathroom I’ve seen in this price range. Room was spacious, bed very comfortable, extras provided eg refresher towels, a jug of cold water in fridge was welcome on a hot day after a long drive. Beautiful roses around the pool appropriately as Benalla is known for roses. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I needed a late arrival and the Motel owner opened the room for me and put the light on great service as I crept in at midnight. Some places excel this is one of them

The owner charged a $30 fee (in addition to the original amount ($135) paid to Wotif) for a second guest to stay in the second bed. At the time it was a strange request and didn’t to seem correct, but to avoid conflict I paid the owner cash. After paying the owner I double checked the Wotif booking which was: 2 adults, Twin room, two twin beds. We were provided one single bed, one double bed. We checked out before reception opened, so I could not take up the over charge with the owner in person, however I did message the hotel via their website to address the issue….no response. Feeling ripped off on principle.
