Overall a great local option that’s convenient and close to everything. The walls really carry and echo sounds. There was a group of kids from a traveling sport team staying with their families and I could hear every door shutting and the steps in the hall and the elevator dinging. So not the most quiet but the staff are great and helpful and the pool and hot tub were nice and the room was overall clean. The coffee machine had a dried bug inside of it which I don’t drink coffee but was going to make tea so that was quickly not an option.

I stayed at this hotel this last Tuesday. I was in town to see a friend who had recently had surgery. I was taking a shower when the conditioner pump did not work so I stepped out to get my conditioner that was in my cosmetic bag hanging on the towel rack, as I stepped back in the wood paneling, that is part of the shower, I slept and fell. I’m not sure why they think having wood paneling inside a shower is a good idea. I was seriously injured. Hit my head severe concussion. As I was leaving to go directly to the emergency room, I stopped to notify the manager of what it happened. She said she would look up my contact information in my reservation. I did not hear one word from her, inquiring as to how I was doing, whether I made it to the hospital, etc. My daughter attempted to call several times to get their Liability Insurance information, but was sent to voicemail several times. She did ultimately receive a text, instructing her to email an email address. No one ever called to see how I was doing. I find that completely unprofessional and totally uncaring of the staff there. I finally heard back from headquarters a couple days later via email stating that they would contact their insurance company. If you do, please make sure to be extra careful in that walk-in showers that have the wood paneling inside the shower stall.

Trying to use technology for check in process - completely bizarre, unfriendly and mistake ridden. First, they sent a text with bizarre check in process that I was supposed to fill out on line to get a qr code to get my keys. Then another text telling me credit card hadn't validated and I needed to contact them before 4:00 or my reservation would be canceled. This while I was trying to drive through a primitive part of Oregon (Central Oregon) that doesn't have cell service except in quick flashes. So I had to pull over to call them. It took talking to 3 people and waiting while it took them several minutes to determine that yes, my card actually had gone through and all was well, so their threatening email was for nothing. Then we get here and do in person check in, and then I get emails from Expedia telling me that my keys (that I already had) were ready to be picked up (but only for one of the rooms). The whole thing is really stupid. And the location is in a weird part of Bend. Just a strange experience. They have a coffee bar in the lounge that is about 10 feet from the front desk, but they have a sign telling you to text a phone number if there is a problem with the coffee (instead of walking over to the front desk). So strange. Using technology to make things less convenient and less friendly. They are probably trying to get away with fewer staff. Noisy sliding doors in the closet & bathroom, you can hear upstairs & next door. Sheets did not seem fresh.
