Living the Dream!
Blinn's Landing is a lovely slice of paradise, the landscape is gorgeous and peaceful, a wonderful respite from the outside world. Carla has the cabin and surrounding areas well-stocked, warm, and cozy, everything needed for comfort, with some great extras thrown in. The crystal clear waters of the Spring River a are sight to behold and we thoroughly enjoyed our kayaking adventures! There is something for everyone here, it's remote enough to get a way from it all, yet close enough to town if you choose to go that route. This is a really special place with a fascinating history that we'll definitely come back to, thank you for your thoughtfulness and hospitality, Carla!

Second Time
We’ve stayed at Blinn’s Landing before and loved it. Our second visit was no different. The property is set in a magical location on the bank of the Deschute river. The property is well equipped, particularly if you like to cook as we do. You can choose to relax on the dock or be more active on the river, whilst Sunriver or Bend are only a short drive away. We are already talking about when we will visit again.

Fantastic.
Carla was a great host, and property was amazing! Our first trip to the Deschutes River/Forest area and it was an awesome experience. The Cabin itself had everything you could need and location on the river was perfect to hike, bike, SUP, canoe, or float. Perfect location to just hang out at or as a launch pad for day trips in the surrounding forest/Bend area. We saw deer, bunnies and chipmunks every morning with coffee on the dock. Couldn't ask for a better trip! 10/10...would recommend!

Awesome cabin experience!!!!
We really enjoyed the solitude and quiet atmosphere of the property. It was really nice to not have other people around us but we did drive into "The Village" to go bike riding with the kids and let them play in the pool over there. In the evenings the stars were bright as could be without the light pollution from the town. The riverfront setting was especially nice with private access to the river, though you do see and hear people floating by throughout the day. That didn't bother us and we had no issues with people having fun on the river. We will definitely come back and stay here again in the future.

Even better than we expected
This property is indescribably special, private, and authentic and descriptions and photos just don't do it justice! Our little family of 3 and the dog spent a week here during Covid. If you like rustic and historic but comfortable, this place is for you. It really felt more like staying in a family cabin (that you are lucky enough to be invited to) than a vacation rental- So many little touches that make it feel like home, like fresh ground coffee, a selection of local craft beers, a little herb garden, and lots of little extras in the form of a very well stocked house. Don't worry if you forget something :) Carla was great to deal with and her personal tour of the property when we arrived made us feel welcome and comfortable. From the cabin you can float the Deschutes down to the Besson day use area (float time is 30-40 minutes) then a 10 minute walk back to the cabin- perfection! We also rented a couple of paddle boards in Sunriver and paddled from Harpers Bridge to the cabin. We are already thinking of coming back next year, such a special place!

Amazing respite!
I had no idea how much I needed this get away. Plenty of space on the property to seek out a little private time to read a book, watch nature all around and just breathe in the peace of the environment. I fly fished every day from the dock and the waters edge and caught a few trout. My Golden Retriever absolutely loved the place, she was outside all day every day and loved swimming in the river. She actually cried when we had her get in the car to go home. The home was very clean, well stocked and very well cared for. Carla, thank you for sharing this family gem with us! This vacation will go down in the history books with us!!

Log cabin with so much history and charm Carla greets you and gives you quick informative tour of the 6 acre property! She has so much love and pride of her family cabin You will just sit out on the dock at night and forget to even start dinner The moon every night was amazing with Mt. Bachelor in the background And the tubers / floaters / paddle boarders come by al day down the river - so fun to watch and they all say “wow look at that cabin !” Thank you Carla for an amazing stay ! Beautiful location
Our family of 4 (2 boys ages 3 & 5) had a wonderful time at this beautiful location. We boated, hiked, mountain biked & fished right from the property. A very tame deer visited a few times. The paved trails at sunriver are easy to drive to for running & biking, too. We took an amazing day trip to the nearby Paulina Peak area per Carlas recommendation. It was only about 40 mins away and had to much to offer. The water was too cold for us to swim but so beautiful and crystal clear! The cabin was so thoughtfully equipped and set up. Carla generously included so many things to make it fun and feel like home. The dirt road is definitely worn but with a truck, it was a fun drive ;-) Be prepared for some extra dusty dirt and enjoy your trip!

Thank you Carla for sharing your beautifully appointed cabin. It was such a wonderful and fulfilling stay. We hope to be returning customers but on the same hand home the world does not get out how special this place truley is. Carla was a wonderful host and had everything we needed. It was amazing to have the fresh herb garden for cocktail garnishes and even garlic and spices for our meals. We are at a loss of words. Great place to recharge and watch the river go by from the porch or hammock. Please look us up anytime you come to Kauai. We would love to return the Aloha and hospitality.

Cozy WW2 cabin
The owner Carla has a gift for hospitality. We rent a lot of vacation homes and this was by far the most well stocked, thoughtful home. Directly across from Sunriver resort. The dock is wonderful. The canoe and row boat were so enjoyable. The owner uses top notch linen and Pendleton blankets. Mattresses were top quality. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy your family.

Wonderful property
Our family of 4 and 1 Chesapeake Bay Retriever was outstanding. Boys (6&3, but dad too!) loved exploring the property every morning as the sun rose over the Rivers. The dock is the ultimate hang out spot to people watch as the crowds float the fractures. And taking the boat or the canoe up the spring river was silent and peaceful way to get away while watching hundreds of fish swim beneath as the rivers merge. The outdoor fire place made some amazing homemade pizzas and the cabin was the perfect get away from the crowds across the way Inn Sunriver.

Wonderful river vacation
We had the best time at Blinn's Landing! Mornings on the dock, canoe rides, cooking in the lovely kitchen, trampoline time, pine cone collecting, and more. It's a perfect place for kids and adults. It was a restful, simple week and just what we needed. We'll definitely be back! Tip to those coming: if you have a 4 wheel drive option, that is useful on the bumpy dirt roads into the property. Our sedan did fine, but we would have been more comfortable with our Subaru Outback if we'd thought ahead.

We had the most amazing time at Binn’s Landing. We stay at a lot of VRBO’s and this was one of our favorites! Carla was amazing to work with and she paid such close attention to every detail to make it very special staying at her beautiful cabin in the woods. She was so hospitable! She even had a gourmet cupcake waiting for my son’s birthday! We brought our Labrador retriever with us and I’m pretty sure this was his favorite vacation ever! We have a tween and teenagers and they enjoyed the property, outdoor games and swimming off the dock! This property was so well stocked and every detail was so thoughtful. Family summer retreat
Blinn's Landing was a great place for a retreat from busy life. Our dog loved the 6 acres of space and our baby enjoyed romping around the lawn. Unlike most rentals, Carla has the house well well stocked! There are great cooking implements, snacks, soaps from around the area, books, videos, and quite good wifi! The amount of detail put into the "extras" was great and much appreciated. The only con, and this is well beyond the control of the owner and entirely due to its forested and riparian setting, is the acute presence of mosquitos. They are annoying during the evening and make eating outside a bit of a chore. I'm guessing staying later in the summer would lessen that problem.
