Nice 1-bedroom in a good location
The apartment is in a central part of Berlin, but in a quiet area, in a section in a back of the building so it’s really quiet. The beds (including the sofa bed) are comfortable. The owner replies promptly to any messages. She was very apologetic about a broken shower handle and had it fixed as soon as she could. There is a bus stop nearby and the metro and light rail are nearby within walking distance. There is a grocery store Lidl very close. The restaurant downstairs is nice too. There are many other restaurants and cafes in the area. What other guests noted - there’s no elevator and it’s the third floor so if you have a lot of heavy suitcases that might be hard. Note to Americans - there are no window screens, which is typical for Europe so if you keep your windows open you will get mosquitoes and flies inside.

Ten days in Berlin
We were in Berlin to learn about the City and its history. Ina’s apartment was an excellent starting point every morning, whether we walked or made the very short walk to pick up the SBahn or the M tram lines. Facing an internal courtyard it was also super quiet. We Would stay here again.

So happy with our choice
We were doors away from a theater where we could went for a festival and across the park from the Boros foundation where we went twice. We walk a lot and also used the metro which was a 10 minute walk. A grocery nearby and some convient cafes offered many options.

Perfect accommodation for my Berlin trip

Excellent apartment in the middle of Berlin
Had a wonderful few months staying in this apartment. The property is centrally located and very comfortable. The streets nearby are safe and quiet, with many restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies nearby. The apartment is also within walking distance from major tourist attractions, like the Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate, and major public transport hubs like the Hauptbahnhof and Friedrichstraße station. The hosts are also promot to respond and helpful: they always got back to us very quickly whenever we had any questions or requests. Overall, I had an excellent stay, and would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place in Berlin!

Perfect location
I cannot imagine a better location from which to explore Berlin - right in the heart of the city, within easy walking distance of all the major attractions as well as every mode of public transit. The apartment itself is cozy, quiet, and safe, and looks exactly like the pictures. Be aware that there are 49 steps to reach the apartment (10 exterior and 39 interior) and no elevator in the absolutely charming vintage 1860s building. Frau Thimm is a wonderful host, easy to reach and ready to answer questions or give suggestions. We would be happy to return any time! Es gibt keinen besseren Ort in Berlin, wenn Sie all die erstaunlichen Dinge zu Fuß sehen und auch in der Nähe von S- und U-Bahn, Straßenbahn, Bussen und Regionalzügen sein möchten. Die Wohnung ist sauber, ruhig und sicher; hier können Sie sich rundum wohlfühlen. Alles sieht genauso aus wie auf den Fotos. Frau Thimm ist auch selbst wunderbar – über Whattsap gut erreichbar und gibt gerne tolle Tipps für Restaurants und Unternehmungen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall gerne irgendwann wiederkommen.

Ideal location for exploring Berlin
This quiet, centrally located apartment had everything we needed to enjoy Berlin for a week. We would have stayed a month if our visas allowed! Our hosts went out of their way to insure an excellent stay. I neglected to note that there was no elevator and they even helped carry our luggage (way beyond the job of hosts!). There is an excellent cafe steps away. Plus plenty of other restaurants are close. A short walk to the River Spree and Brandenburg Gate. And it is a 10 minutes walk to two metro stations. A comfy bed with a lovely deck. And a washing machine. For full-time travelers, that is a plus.

Great apartment in central location
Nice apartment, exactly as described. Ina is a great host that responded quickly and took care of anything that came up. It's within walking distance to attractions and both Berlin Central Station or Friedrichstrasse station, which can bring you anywhere else you may want to go (in Berlin, Germany, or Europe really). Lidl (Grocery store) and DM are right around the corner for anything you may need. Stayed for a month and had a great time.

Comfortable studio in central location
Located on a quiet street convenient to a nice bakery, grocery and pharmacy, the property was sparkling clean and well equipped for a short stay. The little balcony is a big plus for summer visitors and we enjoyed breakfasts and evening drinks there. The owner is very quick to respond and immediately replaced a light bulb for us. She had kindly left light on for our late day arrival. You can walk to Reichstag and Brandenburg gate in 15 mins. It's about 10 min walk to public transport and a fraction longer to the Hauptbahnhof but the airport bus to Tegel stops nearby at Charite. We discovered this by chance ! THere is one restaurant next door but others are about 10-15mins walk away and then you have dozens of choices. The apartment is good value for the price and I'd easily recommend it for those looking for a quiet location convenient to many major sites. As with many short stay properties I've used I'd ask owners to put together one page with a line or two on nearby restaurants and a map of the neighborhood marking transport and other key info. When you're on a short visit that helps so much.

An awesome apartment in the heart of Berlin
We had a wonderful time at Ina’s apartment. The location is absolutely perfect....only minutes to cafe’s, the canals, parks, and the rail station. The apartment was a perfect size for the two of us, with a wonderful balcony overlooking the courtyard. It was clean, and the bed was very large and comfortable. We’ve stayed in VRBOs throughout Europe and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this one. Thanks again Ina!

Cool and comfortable studio flat in central Berlin
Great location for exploring the city - 10 minutes walk from Brandenburg Gate and 10 minutes walk from nearest train station. The area and building felt safe and we had all we needed in the flat. Very friendly host who was responsive with messages and gave us a warm greeting. We travelled by car and used the car park around the corner which is 20 Euros per day.

Very nice stay!
It was a great place to stay. Little confusing in checking in, partially due to our plane being late, and not having cell phone coverage for the area. Did a lot of walking, combining with the U & S lines within a short distance away made it very easy to get around. The room was spacious, bed comfortable, kitchen area was good. The patio was nice to use with the good weather we had. Had issue with wi-fi, Ina got it fixed the very next day, works wonderful now. With three flights of stairs to climb, that are narrow,suggest you pack light. Would stay here again.

Great Location, comfortable & Quiet
We stayed here for the first 10 nights of our 40th wedding anniversary European tour! We loved it! We arrived in Berlin at sunrise and took the TXL bus whose route goes near the apartment. We were met at the building entry by Ina’s assistant, Karen, who got us settled into our apartment. The well furnished 3rd floor studio apartment has plenty of light and a nice balcony overlooking the courtyard. There is a bakery, grocery store and pharmacy near by where we were able to get everything we needed. We were most surprised by how quiet the apartment is no matter the time of day. Getting to the major tourist sites is easy as the TXL bus continues to Unter Den Linden and terminates past Museum Island at Alexanderplatz. However the best discovery for us was visiting the nearby Prenslauer neighborhood with its diverse eateries, shops including vintage clothing and resale shops (where we bought some used winter coats and a small back pack for picnicking!) just take the 147 bus to Berlin Hauptbahnhof and switch to eastbound M10 street tram. The only reason we didn’t give our stay 5 stars is because internet connectivity could be frustrating. It seems to be with service provider who is using phone lines. We brought our Apple TV device so that we could listen to music at night but it worked only a couple of evenings. The internet worked fine for emails and there is good cell phone reception for texting. Ina’s Office is on ground floor and her and her staff respond quickly and are very helpful. Ina, thank you for making the first stop on our 40th celebratory tour a delight. Ted & Kim from Houston, Texas
