This is possible the worst hotel experience I have had in my 56 years. Not only was the bed about 10-15 years old (the sofa was more comfortable.), there was peeling paint in the bathroom on the window sill where we suppose to place our towels/shaving kits; there was exposed wires, the night lamps were broken & taped together with scotch tape, the sink was clogged. Due to COVID-19, the great breakfast advertised was curtailed (understandably as all hotels are doing) but their idea was to give you orange drink, a prepackaged meat stick, a granola bar); no coffee, no hot water nothing. I had to pay about 15euro for two coffees and a two croissant across the street.
This is not a 3-star hotel--it is a 1-star hotel. If you are a college kid looking for cheap place for you and your friend, it is fine; for the rest of us, there are better properties in Berlin.
Most importantly, the hotel front desk was not there in the morning, and when I came back, they could not fix the problems, and the manager was only available by email (from their front desk staff). This probably should have an inspection by the Berlin Use & Occupancy/Hotel license department for fire code and general health violations.
-Lastly, it was so bad, I moved my family out after one night and requested my money back for the last three days of the stay. The management said no. I have never left a hotel before in my life. Nor was Travelocity helpful in resolving this dispute--Very unlike previous experiences.
