The Good - very central in Berlin Mitte - only 5 mins walk from Alexander Platz, so good for local eateries and transport connections. Good view of the TV tower from the balcony. The room was clean, BUT: - they only clean it every second day - using the ‘environment’ label to justify this, though it’s basically a cost saving opportunity for them. If I’m staying in a hotel, I want my room cleaned each day. - although there is a basic coffee shop offering at reception, it’s not really suitable for a decent breakfast. My room was a standard room, which would be fine for a couple of nights, but I was there for 2 weeks. With only a desk chair, this meant that I couldn’t really spend any time in the room relaxing / reading/watching TV - needed a bit more space for a comfy chair. There is a tiny ‘kitchen’ (hob and fridge) - but again, you really wouldn’t want to spend time eating in the room. Laundry service was outrageously expensive - but there is a laundry room in the basement which you can use for free. Supposed to be room service via scanning code in the room, but on the 3 times I tried this, it was not available. In summary, I think there are much better hotels in the area for similar price. I wouldn’t recommend, but it’s also not the worst.

The place is clean, staff members at the front desk are friendly, lots of eateries near by, but other than that I wasn’t particularly impressed by it, considering the cost of the booking. The place was promoted as lux aparthotel. As a vegan traveling in Germany being able to fix some easy meals, which is the main reason I chose this place. However the kitchen consists of two sets of utensils, a pot without lid, and two sets of plates and that is all. I cannot have a bowl of cereal because there is no bowl. Only one chair in the room so not possible for two to eat at the same time. No room service in our 3 day stay but only 1 pack of coffee powder was given. There is shampoo but no conditioner. The room is configured in a weird way, which resulted in much wasted space, making the usable area even smaller. There is a specious balcony, but only two outdoor chairs, no place for placing a cup. Also, while in balcony you cannot close the door leading to balcony. We tried to stay for a few min and got a bunch of mosquitos into the room. It would be lovely to have breakfast or coffee but due to these reasons we did not use the balcony and saw no one using them. There are a few bus stops right at the corner of the street. We waited and the bus schedule proved to be unreliable and far in between. So while in Berlin we used the metro exclusively. The nearest metro is about 7 min by walking. Walking to metro in late evening feels safe. All in all, I would rate neutral.

Centrally located near Alexanderplatz, 10-15 minutes walk to lots of attractions apartment had a balcony which was an added bonus. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful, would definitely stay again

Love the location of this hotel and the large rooms. Next to the UBanh, S and the regional train station. Food at the restaurant was pretty good and the large TV for the Eurocup was a great idea

Very convenient location. Extremely helpful friendly people at front desk. Recommend adding some bowls and a few additional useful items in kitchenette. Rooms are clean and well designed. Wish the hallways and common areas were as bright as the rooms.

Hotel in a good location but needs work.
My wife and I stayed at the Lux 11 for three nights (Luxury room) in June 2024. The good: the hotel is in a very good location and the area is reasonably quiet; friendly and helpful staff; very useful free laundry room (we were on a six-week trip around Europe); the room was very spacious and had everything needed for a short stay. The bad: the shower is completely open to the bedroom (only glass partition so no privacy), with the wash basin actually in the room, making us feel like we were staying in a bathroom; no drawers whatsoever, despite the size of the room, forcing us to leave small items on different surfaces, which made the room seem untidy; no hooks to hang jackets, etc.; and the elevator and hallways were shabby and in need of renovation. Overall, not great value for money and we would not stay in this hotel again.

The hotel was quiet and private, like having a studio apartment. It was spacious and comfortable, and a nice walk-in shower with rain feature. The TV allowed Netflix sign in capability.
