"Checked in mid evening and was cold outside. Was informed at check in that the team had been to my room and closed the curtains and put the heating on so it was not cold. Wow now that’s some check in service "

"It was my first time in Middlesbrough and I know I chose a lovely hotel to stay in for me and my son, my son who is 15 years old went out every day meeting up with his friends he knows from online games. Excellent hotel & Staff will most definitely recommend and come back and stay again."

"Plenty of parking. Extremely easy check-in. Very clean and comfortable. Short walk from the village with places to eat and drink. Quite at night and would stop again. "

"The kitchen was nice, but some cupboards had a mildew smell. The kitchen sink smelt of drains when the tap was turned on. The separate toilet is tiny – your knees practically touch the door. The bathroom is located on the ground floor, which is not mentioned in the property description. This should be made clear. Also, it had paint peeling off the ceiling. The security chain on the front door is attached to the door surround, which is falling away from the wall - therefore rendering it useless. No instructions for the cooker - all 4 of us found it tricky to work out how to use it. No signal on the TV - instructions for that proved inadequate. Additional tables would have been useful to place drinks on in the lounge. Beds were comfortable, but there was a distinct lack of bedside tables and lamps. Outside the kitchen window was a big pile of rubbish, not nice to look out on, and the vacuum cleaner was left in front of the back door - which is probably a fire hazard. Property was nice and warm; heating controls were easy to use. Very average property, made to look nice, but poor finishes and lack of attention to detail let it down."
