Gem on Broad street
Last minute booking and the hotel didn’t disappoint. The check in was easy and room was very spacious with 2 double beds. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds and enough amenities for a 1 night stay. Great location if your going to Utilita or ICC venue

Nice hotel but room unbearable as so hot
The hotel welcome was lovely, room was lovely BUT the heat in the room Was unbearable. We had thermometer with us as we have a young child and the room reached 26 degrees. Air con would not work, they bought a fan which did nothing. I did feed this back when we left but reception said it’s the change in weather, well it was cold outside so I don’t really see how that makes the hotel so hot you can barely breath?

Dont know why we ended up in a disabled room loads of cords wasnt sure what the hell they were for scared me!! And shower had a chair in it don’t understand why they gave it me or didn’t explain anything! Im sure if i was requiring this would of been great but only thing its ok the 10th floor!

When I arrived the room one of the bed there’s blood stain on the quilt cover, I’ve asked the receptionist why not changed they told me they can only change after 3 days. There’s no shampoo in the shower asked them to change didn’t change until I’ve made a complaint again on the day I was leaving. I’ve brought my own toothpaste the cleaner decided to throw away for me! When I checked out because they didn’t change my shampoo in the shower till very last minute I nearly missed my train so I couldn’t had time to speak to the hotel manager but the supervisor promised me the manager will call me, I’ve left the hotel on 27th Sept, so far never heard a thing. Also, the room is not well insulated, very noisy can hear everything next door doing (I’m not going to the details what I’ve heard next door was up to, you probably can imagine!)

Great location in close proximity to brindley place and within walking distance to Bullring/Mailbox shopping. My room was upgraded on arrival which was fabulous, only slight minor flaw was ceiling in bathroom needs attention due to peeling and TV stations only work on some channels. Staff were polite, friendly and knowledgeable, breakfast good
