Best place to stay near BHX Airport. It is a peaceful and quiet farm with adequately sized and clean rooms. You can get to the airport in less than 8 minutes (and that’s with all the confusing construction going on around there!). Word to the wise: follow Google Maps — it is accurate and up to date with all the construction detours. It will direct you to Church Lane; once you turn onto Church Lane, start looking out for the white B & B sign (before the big church). Turn left there and then take the left split, then you’ll find yourself at this Bed & Breakfast. My flight was early so I didn’t take the breakfast.

Lovely little hotel. I arrived and departed in the dark so didn’t see much of the surroundings. It has a nice countryside feel to it with the converted barns.
I found I could hear guests next door’s conversations and wake up alarms.
The biggest thing for me however was a giant spider that appeared on my bed at 4am as I was getting ready. I guess being a rural location that can be expected however, it has deterred me from returning to the hotel.
The owner was an absolute delight and so lovely to chat with. We were able to walk to our festival at the NEC. I would have like mor variety for breakfast. Perhaps scrambled eggs. I also would have liked access to a fridge to store some drinks and snacks.
This is a beautiful British British farmhouse and exactly what I hoped for when booking last minute. The host was fantastic and breakfast and accomodations were remarkable. I wish we could have stayed longer.
We had an enjoyable stay for one night, we was due to fly the morning after, early, so it was convenient, only 5 mins drive away.
Parking is fine on the courtyard, room had a kettle with coffee and teas, tv.
You can see and hear the planes coming over but I liked that, the area is lovely, you can walk to the nec, it’s about 10 mins away.
I would definitely stay again if I was flying from Birmingham.
Loved staying in the converted stable and seeing the horses directly outside in their stables. Like a little oasis but close to the arena . Breakfast was excellent , beds comfortable and friendly host.
A lovely place to stay, our room was very cozy and clean and smelt lovely.
The breakfast was very good.
What you have to take into consideration is, it is a working farm so not everything is going to be squeaky clean.
I enjoyed my time there, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
Camilla is a lovely host, very welcoming and pleasant to talk to. But guests should know that the farm house is directly (or very nearly directly) below the flight path for aircraft taking off or landing (I don't know which) to and from the nearby International airport - a mere two miles away.
So from 5am in the morning, every 5 mins one hears the very close roar of aircraft above. The same applies late at night, but seems to stop at midnight. The flights aren't so frequent at night.
Otherwise the farm is delightful. Th rooms are converted stables so a bit small, but perhaps this doesn't matter if staying only a night or two.
Dinner is not served, but the breakfast, especially the full-English, is superb. There's no cover when going from one's room to the house for breakfast, so if it rains, make sure you've got your umbrella with you in your room !
Room was clean but very cramped the shower only dribbled out so not possible to use effectively and towels incredibly small ( I am only a size 12 but it would not go anywhere near going round me). Plane noise directly overhead made sleeping disturbed. Was asked on arrival what time I would like breakfast as I had no idea at that point I said around 08.30, I arrived for breakfast at 8.50 was not greeted just sat at a laid table then given a jug of warm orange juice and milk from another used table asked
if I required tea or coffee said I preferred fruit tea (had to supply my own as none available) was then presented with a plate over extremely overcooked bacon, a burnt dried sausage and a fried egg and told I was late and it had been cooked for 8.30. The toast was one round of what could only be described as warm bread it certainly was not toasted, there was no napkin, side plate or knife, other guests of which there were two were offered poached eggs and generally checked on and spoken with. I was just ignored throughout my stay I felt as though I was an imposition and most unwelcome.
