The Breakfast was not very good, they didn't have the heat up on the food serving trays so the gravy was literally cold and the grits and eggs were just luke warm.

It is across the street from about 100 loud obnoxious homeless folks. Did not feel safe walking on street. Also only way to park at hotel is to pay for valet or find your own on street parking. Room was small and very cold from very loud hvac system. Could not get to adjust temp. Sadly would not stay here again ir downtown Birmingham in fact.

This hotel is in an older building in downtown Birmingham. It is within walking distance to several restaurants and the BJCC. The desk and valet staff were friendly and accommodating. If I am in Birmingham again, I will stay here.

Overall, great stay!
My family and I have been staying in the area while visiting other family at the UAB hospital. We stayed here 1 night and it was absolutely fantastic! Beautiful building, comfortable and clean rooms, and friendly staff! The breakfast was also great! So we decided to stay here again the following night. While the room was still great, I couldn’t say the same about the service the secone time. The woman at the front desk seemed to be in a bad mood and it was very obvious. She was not very friendly and had a bad attitude with us at check in. There was a small mix up with our room reservations and when I had kindly mentioned it, she immediately got very defensive. I told her it was totally ok; mistakes happen. But her attitude remained the same. When she gave me the new room key she slapped it down on the counter and said “7th floor” and immediately turned away without saying another word and walked into her back office and closed the door. So that was a little disappointing. Again, I still find this place to be wonderful and will definitely recommend it to other travelers. I just hope whoever the woman was behind the desk has some better days.

The staff was extremely professional and extremely kind. My room was clean and spacious. What i didn't like, very FEW business are opened on Monday, but we made the best of it. I enjoyed, i cried, and i learned. One of my best trip.
