This is a good hotel, only problem was that I was told by being an IHG rewards member I would get breakfast included in my stay, only to be told by the hotel reception and duty manager that I wouldn’t get a breakfast as this hotel is a franchise. Even though the last stays I had here I got the breakfast. Apart from this fact, it is a good hotel.

I've stayed at this hotel before, this was my second visit. It's a very convenient location for my usual travel purposes in Birmingham. It's comfortable, breakfast is good and I like accessing the pool and gym.

Very decent hotel with very friendly staff. Rooms generally fairly clean. Bathroom very nice and modern looking. The double beds look a bit small especially for a big/tall person. And would have preferred the bed to be a bit more comfortable (but definitely manageable). Strong and reliable (free) WiFi in the room. Gym and swimming pool complimentary - loved these.

Nice room with comfortable beds; quiet location with easy access to shops and places to eat. Swimming pool area/showers needs updating as it doesn't feel tool clean.

Convenient for a family weekend
We had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend with all of the family and the hotel was an excellent central meeting place. Welcome was excellent. Our room, a family room for the two of us, was comfortable and had all we needed. Like 99% of hotels the bathroom extractor fan did not work. Staff were very friendly but there just weren’t enough of them. They had a touch screen for ordering & paying for food & drink but the screens we tried didn’t work and it then took ages to find a member of staff to serve us. Breakfasts were good with a wide variety of choice from the buffet.

Stayed in quite a few holiday inns with work so was expecting the usual high standard room's. Check-in was a little faff as the receptionist couldn't get the card handset to work for a while, had to restart a few time's. Room was clean and tidy as normal, however the thermostat dial on the shower didn't work, so the water was either scorching or scorching. Also no channels available on TV. Appreciate it was probably a localised issue to a room. Did raise at reception as arrived at midnight and gone at 8am, so sleep was more important than faffing changing rooms etc
