Be Aware
When we entered the room it smelled of urine and drains. Put the shower on and the smell went so didn't comment on it. Went across the road to the local shop that you had to access via a subway to find 3 drugged up homeless people in there blocking the way. Next morning woke up to the smell again which made me nearly be sick so complained to the hotel and asked to change rooms. They told me no as it was fully booked but would send matienence up and fix the issue. Not sure if they ever came as we was out again and when we came back at night the smell was still in the shower and room. The second night when we came back there was guests arguing with the staff at the desk which made us feel very uneasy too. It's a budget hotel which you expect to have a basic room but not to smell the way it did and not be offered anything.

Reception staff were very helpful on arrival and departure. The buffet breakfast was good particularly for the price. However on the minus side the accommodation was very sparse for the £93 price tag and the bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Really does live up to the budget name
We booked the ibis budget as the price point was reasonable. Unfortunately it really was budget. The room was a twin on the lower floor. It was -2 outside and the windows were letting in a draft. The shower smelt of bad sewage and the divider between the beds was loose. Luckily we stayed out of the room as much as possible. The hotel also greeted you with a smashed window on entering the building. On a positive note the staff were really friendly

Really helpful and cheerful staff in a non-nonsense and clean hotel with a very comfortable bed, with a good shower. What more could you want? I didn’t have time for breakfast, so can’t comment on that.

Quite an old hotel. Bed is okay but shower stank. Breakfast options are very limited, with only cereal, toast and yoghurts with teas and coffees etc. Reception area is nice. No phone or table in the rooms either. Good for a last minute option if you only need a place to sleep and dont care for much else but if you have options, do not choose here
