Decided to try this place for once as usually opt for another chain of hotels when staying in the area. I genuinly preferred this place its conveniently placed for accessing west brom shops and plently of eateries in the area. What made me choose this place was that it had a bar/restaurant, pool and gym. Plenty of free parking. The staff are friendly, although it did take us a little time to get their attention on arrivel to check in. My only gripe was with the eating there. I had to order a kids meal for my daughter which came with a main (burger) and desert (brownie) It seemed to take way to long for the burger to turn up. No one came back to clear the plate or ask if everything was ok with the food. I took the plate to the bar and asked that they get the desert. Nothing appeared, i went back to the bar and the member of staff appologised because they'd forgotten to tell the kitchen. The fact there was like 5 people in the bar max during this period and no ones on top of this probably says a lot. I would stay again, IF i ever used the kitchen again, id be making sure to prompt them regularly, but theirs plenty of eating out options. We did the Vine and the food was great

Reception tried charging me overnight parking which I successfully challenged as there was no mention when I booked. On route to the room I found dirty corridors and stained carpets. Outside one room was a pile of muck that was apparently caused by the builders, yet I didn’t see any ‘men at work’ signage on the route to my room, nor did reception advise. I stay a lot with work and have a high tolerance for average hotels / standards. I’ll never stay here again. I emailed the hotel manager overnight and haven’t had a response.

Was a last min booking was all good until the morning when I had no hot water at all and I mean no water. Couldn’t shower or wash and was not even offered another room to as least shower. Maintenance never turned up

Service fail
There were several events on at the hotel when we checked in, so a bit of a queue. Check-in seemed smooth, including paying for parking for 2 nights, but when the desk staff entered "parking for 1 night" I double checked and was met with scorn. The stay was fine. I received a parking fine because I wasn't registered for the second night, despite attempts to prevent the issue. Location and price makes this one of only a few options, but I will be very wary in future.

The spa 'experience' was below average, fitness facilities (sauna, steam room, pool, changing rooms) were barely functional and I did not feel particularly 'privileged' to have paid for a room upgrade. If you want an expensive bar, an average restaurant, poor breakfast and a bed...... go for it.

There was hair in the bed, and the reception man that was talking to me smelled of food, and he seemed unhappy checking me in. When I asked about the car I was charged 6 or 7 pounds even though I was a guest

Always good customer service. Can’t say the cleanliness of the hallways is great around 1st floor but room itself was great. Room I stayed in had a built in alarm call for about 5am when cages were being moved

Massive carpark and its free be sure to enter your registration plate at reception Quick check-in all info given even a letter with it on. Lift to all floors My room was very compact size just big enough for one i guess. Bed was super comfortable WiFi was good Shower hot and powerful Breakfast not included but could add on if wanted Evening meal was good Simple menu but excellent value . Free use of the leisure facilities Location is on a house estate close to the motorway jct. Close to a beautiful country park. Would stay again if in the area
