My experience was marred by the poor lighting in the room not helped by the dark wall. The shower was also poorly designed and I didn't feel safe using it. There should be another grab rail to hold on to when under the showerhead. The view from our room was wonderful but we had paid extra for this.

Very good position from centre of York. Staff very Helpful. Really lovely room. Only downside, we were in Minster facing room 7th floor excellent views, but pubs across the river quite noisy. But overall excellent stay.

The room was fine, except my bathroom door was so heavy I had trouble opening it -- it was very strangely set up. The dining options were extremely limited especially for dinner. Breakfast was okay, although it would have been nice to have decaf coffee.

Viking odyessy to the Raddison in York.
Solo trip to beautiful and vibrant historical York and my stay at the Raddison Hotel was a pleasant and comfortable experience. The staff were friendly and professional, room was spotlessly clean, the view from my riverside window was fabulous and the service overall was very good. I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Thursday night until 5AM on Friday, very very noisy in adjacent street. Much shouting, almost continous, Different groups of yelling , going along past hotel.We hot very little sleep. Otherwise, an enjoyable stay and would highly praise staff especially.

Great location
The location is excellent which was the primary reason we chose it. We walked everywhere to all the famous sites and great restaurants and had a lovely view from our bedroom window of the river Ouse. Would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely staff, hotel pleasant, we had chocolate and cards for birthday and anniversary in our room . Expensive for early check in ( extra £51 for 3 hours ) Car park NOT well signposted and easily missed. Seemed excessive to pay nearly £200/ night as well as £18/night carpark..

Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Room was as expected with good heat, a/c and shower water pressure. Convenient location to get to York tourist attractions and bar overlooking the river is pleasant. Interior is dated and hallway carpets smelled a bit. Tired looking and poorly maintained. Cracked sink, dirty fixtures, dirty bathroom floor and filthy tv remote all meant we checked out three hours after checking in preferring a 5hr drive home rather than staying there. Staff were very nice, but that doesn’t make up for a lack of fridge in the room, no complimentary bottled water, the state of repair or cleanliness. Will not stay with this brand again if they think that this is an acceptable standard.

Though I booked a room with, what I thought was free parking, when I arrived I was told to leave the car in the NCP car park in Tanner Row. I would then be given a discount ticket to use for when I left. When I arrived back, the receptionist had forgotten what she told me, so I had to ask her about the discount. She then gave me one. Everything, which I wanted to visit in York, was within walkable range for me.
