The Channel Cabin is a perfect place to take a paddle down the channel, take the ORV's for a ride, or relax by the quiet fire pit. Enjoy the sound of the native loons in the evening and cruise the endless two tracks by day. The channel connects to not one, but two lakes to explore. Included in your stay is FREE USE OF 2 KAYAKS. You'll never run out of adventures at this newly remodeled picturesque Michigan cabin. Also work remotely with our high speed wifi!

The space
The Channel Cabin is a perfect place to take a paddle down the channel, take the ORV's for a ride, or relax by the quiet fire pit. Enjoy the sound of the native loons in the evening and cruise the endless two tracks by day. It's a short walk to the channel that connects to not one, but two lakes to explore. You'll never run out of adventures at this newly remodeled picturesque Michigan cabin. The bathroom is small but functional with hot water, shower, toilet, and a small vanity. The cabin is on a side road with other cabins nearby. everyone is kind and keeps to themselves. If you have more questions feel free to ask cheers!
Guest access
Guests are welcome to use every square inch of the 1.5 acres. There are 4 kayaks for the guests pleasure as well! no extra charge!
Other things to note:
The path to the channel is spongy due to high lake levels. bring sandals or boots :)
We have one neighbor about 100 yards away through some thin pines. The bathroom is small, but we have hot water, a vanity, shower, and of course a toilet.
The bedrooms as seen in pictures are separated by curtains. the bath has a standard door for privacy.

Girls Weekend

We really enjoyed our stay! We went out kayak fishing every day, loved using the hot tub, and just relaxed. It was really quiet and peaceful there. We did all our cooking there and the kitchen was pretty well stocked. The space was perfect for my friend and I. We would recommend this little cabin , and can’t wait to return!

Peaceful

This was a clean, peaceful place to stay. This was our “home away from home” for 3 nights. The perfect retreat after a day of hiking and riding the ORV through the trails. The landscape is pretty and full of nature with the sunset peeking through the trees as you soak in the hot tub! We really enjoyed our stay!

Incredibly Peaceful Setting

We had a wonderful week at the Channel Cabin. We went out almost every day on the kayaks and enjoyed all that nature had to offer on the lakes. After a day of paddling the hot tub was such a lovely treat! On our rainy day we pulled the couch trundle into a bed and snuggled in for a relaxing movie day. We received kind and attentive communication from the host when we reached out with a question.

Perfect Getaway

We spent 3 nights in this cozy cabin. If you need to get away for a while, this is the place for you. Perfect couple's getaway. AND, we could bring our dog.When we checked in, the host immediately asked if we needed anything and to contact him if we did.When we had one issue ( our fault, couldn't figure how to heat up the hot tub), Mike promptly texted us to solve it. It is very clean, comfy bed, all the basics provided. We definitely recommend it.

Awesome Getaway!

My husband and I stayed at this little cabin for a long weekend with our dog. We had a great time! The house is cozy and comfortable and we found it to be as described by the host. The hot tub is very nice and we also used the fire pit and grill. We absolutely loved the use of the kayaks, the channel and two lakes! We watched the sunset over the lake from the kayaks which was beautiful. Bring bug spray and expect to get a touch muddy but it is totally worth it! There is a nearby grocery store and hiking trails. We had an awesome trip!

Not really as advertised

Definitely NOT waterfront. The area around this property is unkept, the other 'houses' are run down, and there is junk in many of the yards. This was advertised as waterfront, but there is zero water view unless you walk down a long path, part of which is walking on RR ties, to get to a channel. There are no doors on the bedrooms, only curtains that don't come close to the floor, so you don't get any privacy. The host was very responsive and the hot tub was nice.

My Husband And myself needed a mid-week getaway, the Cabin on the channel was perfect for us, it was only about 30 mins from our home, so we took our side by side. There are trails for ORV riding everywhere. The Cabin was very easy to check into and was clean and inviting upon entry. We took A couple kayaks out the first evening after grilling dinner. The sunset was gorgeous over the lake to the right. We never made it to the lake on the other side of the channel, due to rain and we were only there for 2 days. We did not let the rain ruin a good time, we played a game while it stormed and then jumped into the hot tub for the evening when the storm let up, the lighting around the hot tub was nice. I caught 16 huge bluegills in the morning. The path to the channel was very wet and spongy so definitely bring sandals that can be sprayed off or boots. We appreciated the keurig and keurig cups provided, we did bring a 2-gallon jug of water for drinking and making our coffee and I am glad we did. Things I thought would make a great addition to the kitchen are a wine opener (we brought our own), but I noticed they did not have one, also the knifes need sharpening. We did not clean our fish there, as I didn't want to stink up the cabin, a little fish cleaning station outdoors would be a great addition. We would and will definitely stay again. Thank you for a great, relaxing couple of days!
