We stayed at this motel for one night while visiting our son at Fort Pickett. Management needs to monitor the traffic in the motel more closely. The room next door was running either prostitutes or drugs in and out all night. Strange cars would pull up, someone would hop out and run into the room, stay for 5-10 minutes or less, then leave. A few minutes later, another card would pull up and repeat the process. This happened ALL NIGHT LONG.
The room was clean - but that is about all that was positive about experience with property.
Asked for some additional pillows and were told no.
We were provided with one bath towel and washcloth for two people booked into room.
The bathroom was so tiny in our room that you had to stand inside the tub in order to close and open the door.
The bed was like sleeping on a concrete floor. I realize this is an older motel, but this mattress and box springs had to be from the 1970s! They were terrible. We ended up leaving early because we could not sleep - the bed was that uncomfortable. The frame on the bed was also bent, so the head of the bed was lower than the foot of the bed. It was like sleeping upside down. Absolutely miserable! I didn't expect pillowtops, but at least something comfortable.
It snowed about 6-8 inches during our stay. Motel management did not do anything to remove snow from the parking lots or sidewalks.
Very disappointed - especially for the price we paid for the room. Won't make the mistake of staying again.
