My husband I went to a Christmas Festival in Dahlonga Georgia. We were at the even all day and had decided to spend night at a town up the road closer to our home (about 50 miles from the festival) so as to make for a better drive the next day, We got in very late and we went right to bed. The next morning I went to get a shower fairly early. I was mortified when I got in the shower naked and realized this. It was nasty. It was so gross. There was mold in the shower as well. We knew the room was not a 5 star hotel and issues such as no light bulb or dark spots on the ceiling were easy to overlook. However I cannot deal with a dirty bathroom. It is the kind of bathroom experience you might find in a public bathroom at a camp ground and which you usually wear bath shoes in. I went to the manager as soon as I was dressed. I showed her the pictures. She told me that since I booked the room through Expedia it was out of their hands as far as any reduced rate or otherwise. I called Expedia. Expedia spent a week and notified me by email that Comfort Inn had declined to provide any redress for this horrible experience. I do not think I should have to pay for a dirty room. I do think I have expectation of having a clean room despite this being a budget rate motel. If they are going to have a bathroom so dirty that you need to wear bath shoes then the description of the room needs to include this. I would tell everyone BEWARE of any Comfort Inn,

Very clean. We were in the first floor across from the inside pool, so it was a little noisy. Also the room had this tiled area where the bathtub in the room was. Bit of an eye sore and tripping hazard. Staff was very friendly. Would stay there again!

Dazzled by the hotel and its staff
Truly an amazingly clean and comfortable Comfort Inn. The women taking care of the breakfast area make sure the dining tables are sparkling clean and the buffet is well-stocked. The indoor pool was quiet and well-maintained. Plenty of restaurants and stores within walking distance, as well as a movie theater directly behind the hotel. I highly recommend this property to anyone going to the Ellijay area.

We were put in a handicap accessible room that we didn’t need. The shower floods the whole bathroom. No way to stop that. My husband slipped and fell because of all the water. There was also no smoke detector in the room. It was taken off. We were able to change rooms without a problem. The bed in that first room was hard as a rock and couldn’t sleep the first night at all. The girl at front desk when we checked in was very unfriendly and unwelcoming.
