Excellent! Especially if you are going on the BR train ride. It’s within walking distance to the depot and the restaurant/bar in the hotel was a wonderful place to eat and view downtown Blue Ridge! Staff and rooms were terrific. Loved it!!

This Hampton Inn needs to clean their rooms. The floor (vinyl planking) needed a good steam mopping and the desk needed to wiped down. This Hampton Inn hit me with undisclosed fees, such as a $75.00 pet fee, a parking fee, etc. It would be nice to know these fees upfront. Also, the inn is directly across the street from the Blue Ridge train, which blew its horn at 0530 the first morning. The train starts normal operations every morning at 0630...not good when one is on vacation.

Nice, but….
The stay was very comfortable and convenient. Views are nice. However, the train will wake you in the morning. Businesses close early, and the rooftop restaurant is good ambiance for drinks and the view only. Menu is limited, overpriced, and food just isn’t that good.

Review of the Hampton Inn Blue Ridge
This hotel is very basic, rooms much like a travel lodge or Holiday Inn Express which is not in line with the high price they charge which is ridiculous for what is on offer. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly, but I do think a uniform would help in their over all appearance which was casual/scruffy. I had to laugh at the sign in the bathroom which said that for my comfort my room would receive attention every other day, unless I requested anything. I paid £487 for two very basic double rooms which included a breakfast-the breakfast was truly awful, very limited choice, unwholesome and served using paper plates/bowls and plastic cutlery. There were some nice touches, a display of old photos of the town was interesting and there were hot drinks available at all times near reception. There was also a bar on the top floor which seemed to be used by locals as well as hotel guests, and the beds were comfortable. The position of the hotel is excellent as it is directly opposite he sceenic railway and main street.

Loved the ease of parking at the hotel and then being able to walk the area with all the great shops and seeing the train right outside was wonderful! Rooftop Grill was exceptional!
