Getting Around:
Biking is very popular here and so is walking. Almost everything you will need is within a short walk in Old Town Bluffton.
We enjoyed our stay in Bluffton and the location of the unit was great. It was clean and as represented. However, there was no soap or shampoo in either bathroom and that should be noted in the listing so guests can plan ahead. Also, the bath towels could use an upgrade.
We had difficulty finding the unit. Picture on VRBO shows a restaurant (Sippin Cow) so we assumed it was above the restaurant. The May River address is accurate but the unit access is in the rear of the building. Access codes given to us for the main door and our unit on the second floor were incorrect. No other info was provided in the VRBO reservation information. We had to call the Management company. This is a two bedroom unit very minimally appointed. There are only two stools in dinning area. Not easy to eat from given height of fold out table and stools. Two wine glasses. No instructions for the use of television in living area or one bedroom. Noise from above unit if occupied since there is minimal carpeting. Our visit week was challenging with internet and television issues. Parking is very challenging as this is a very popular area with tourist and locals and there is no assigned parking. The location is great but it brings its challenges. Given all the issues we encountered during our first week we are going to request some financial compensation.
Location was perfect. Had trouble with the remotes for tv. Had to buy batteries for one. Also there were 2 units upstairs but our confirmation didn't tell us which one.We figured it out.Everything else very good. Will stay there again next year.
My son, daughter-in-law and their 2 young children stayed there for a week while visiting from out of town. They loved the location, walkability to the restaurants and close to a park.
Place was very clean and nice. Our only issue was noisy neighbors on top of us. They were fighting, but calmed down after a bit. Seemed like the parking was alittle confusing where we were allowed to park. I would suggest a sign for designated parking. We would stay there again.
