It was alright
The house was adequate and the price was great. I would stay there again. The negatives- I wish they would have automatically provided me the code to get in either the day before or even the morning of check in. They asked for my arrival ETA the day of check in, but I didn’t see the message until I was standing on the front porch as I was driving and couldn't check my phone. After being awake since 5am and traveling over 800 miles to get to the house, it would have been nice to be able to get right in and not wait on the porch for 20 mins waiting for the code. If the owners have a hired cleaner they need to have a talk with them. The house itself was not dirty but there were a lot of dead bugs and spiders on the front porch. There were also next to no cleaning supplies in the house and I had to go buy my own. There are a couple of things that should be fixed. The main swamp cooler hardly works and let me tell you, growing up there, you absolutely need some sort of air conditioning during the summer. Also, the master bedroom door did not close all the way. There was about a 6 inch gap. I’m not sure if the door hinges were put on backwards or if the flooring was preventing the door from closing but they should definitely get that fixed. The things I really liked- very spacious and cozy feeling. I loved the front porch (minus the bugs). The master bath shower was so nice. And I liked the back porch bbq area (but also lots of spiders).
