Welcome to Mountain Laurel Lodge!

Mountain Laurel Lodge is an enchanting 5BR/4.5BA log home with four suites, including a private in-law suite. There is plenty of room for even a full house to spread out! The lodge is conveniently and centrally located, less than five (5) miles to downtown Blowing Rock and about seven (7) miles to Boone. The village of Valle Crucis, with its riverfront park and the original Mast General Store, is fifteen (1)5 miles away. Banner Elk is less than twenty-five (25) miles away.

Snow skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, sledding, and snow tubing are nearby! Appalachian Ski Mountain is only six (6) miles away, while Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is twenty-two (22) miles away, and Beech Mountain Ski Resort is thirty (30) miles away. Hawksnest Snowtubing and Ziplines resort is twenty-one (21) miles away. Sky Valley zipline tours are about eight (8) miles from the lodge.

Grandfather Mountain and the entrance to the famed Profile hiking trail are only twenty (20) miles away. Bass Lake and Trout Lake are six (6) and eight (8) miles away, respectively. The Watauga River and the New River are both close by. The middle fork of the New River is within three (3) miles of the lodge. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only a mile and a half away, where guests can enjoy jogging, walking, hiking, and cycling on quiet mountain roads as well as the nearby famed Mountains-to-Sea trail!

Walk into the main level of Mountain Laurel Lodge to find a stunning open concept floorplan with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, hardwood floors, and a wall of glass revealing layered, long-range mountain views! The great room has a gorgeous leather sectional sofa and an ottoman positioned to enjoy the floor-to-ceiling, stacked-stone, gas log fireplace flanked by mountain views, as well as a large HD Smart TV. Adjacent to the great room is the banquet-style dining table which comfortably seats ten guests. The kitchen features granite counters, custom cabinetry, stainless appliances, and a gas cooktop. This kitchen is equipped to prepare and serve meals to a full house. There is a powder room/half bathroom that serves the great room, dining, and kitchen. The laundry room with a washer and dryer and the attached two-car garage are right off the kitchen. Large glass doors flank the gas log fireplace and lead out to the rear deck. The center portion of the deck is covered while the sides are open. It features a stainless gas grill and an outdoor dining table, along with comfortable Adirondack chairs. The deck is accessible from both main-level king bedroom suites.

*Mountain Laurel Lodge has 7 TVs. Only 4 TVs can be operated simultaneously due to constraints with the TV programming.

These two king suites are on opposite wings of the house, both on the main level and both with HDTVs, king-size beds, full ensuite bathrooms, vaulted ceilings with tongue-and-groove paneling and exposed beams, hardwood floors, and direct access to the rear deck. The left suite has a cozy, tufted loveseat. The bathroom features a vessel sink and a handsome travertine-tiled shower with a frameless glass door. The right suite has a gas fireplace, and is furnished with a comfortable chair and a secretary desk. Its bathroom features a double "his-&-hers" vanity and a jetted, Jacuzzi-style tub with a shower and hand-held bathing wand.

The lower level boasts a large bar with a sink, fridge, dishwasher, and wine cooler, as well as a gorgeous solid oak bar top and ample bar stool seating! The den and game room offer guests an eight-foot slate pool table and a cozy media room with conversational sofas and leather reclining chairs positioned to enjoy the large HD Smart TV and the corner stacked-stone gas log fireplace. Also on the lower level is a large bedroom suite with a king-size bed, glass doors to the lower rear deck, a walk-in closet, and a full Jack-and-Jill bathroom with private and hallway access. Central on the lower level is a stunning library, now transformed into the fifth bedroom, with gorgeous mahogany walls, copper ceiling tiles, and crown molding! This room features a king-sized bed, a gas log fireplace, and an HD Smart TV. The lower rear deck offers more seating from which guests can enjoy the Blue Ridge, as well as the new hot tub.

Walk up the private stairway off the kitchen and above the attached garage to find the "in-law" suite. This suite offers a private room away from the rest of the house with a queen bed, a gas log fireplace, an HD Smart TV, a full bathroom with a pedestal sink and tiled shower, and a Juliette deck with two rocking chairs and lovely mountain views.

Mountain Laurel Lodge is chock full of unique and timeless art, decor, furniture, and more! Its tasteful blend of mountain elegance and contemporary touches make this a vacation getaway that transcends any particular style or taste. It is ideally located and convenient to all the High Country has to offer, yet provides enough to enjoy onsite to eliminate the need for guests to leave at all. The hot tub, numerous fireplaces, front yard gazebo, rear covered and open-air decks, and the game room with the pool table and full bar provide ample entertainment and relaxation opportunities. INTERNET INFO:
This house has satellite internet. While fine for surfing the net and keeping up with emails, it can be slow for things like online gaming or streaming. Please limit your internet usage at Mountain Laurel Lodge as the satellite internet has a limited amount of data available each month.

PET POLICY:
Owners only allow well-behaved and responsibly-owned dogs (no cats!). There are high-end, custom furniture pieces throughout the house that would be expensive for a guest to replace due to pet damage. As in all of our properties, dogs must be crated or kenneled anytime they are left unattended. In this case, dogs left in a room without an adult for any length of time also must be crated. Any damage by a guest's dog will be the responsibility of the guest in question. Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policies will often not cover pet damage if the offending dog is left unattended. Pet damage has historically been extremely difficult to successfully claim as "incidental damage." Please be responsible if you plan to bring your dog along when staying at Mountain Laurel Lodge.

25th Anniversary with the Family
This property is absolutely stunning! We brought the "matures" and one teenager and there was something for everyone. The only caveat was the code to get in didn't work when we arrived. That is always a stressful way to kick off, but the realty company handled within minutes. And we were able to access with a key and a new code. Enjoyed this spacious lodge for a long weekend. We would definitely stay again.

Summer getaway
The property was beautiful. The location perfect. Home lay out excellent for family. The only negative was the lack of deep cleaning. Dust on all fixtures and furniture. Cobwebs on the moose and cabinet corners. Windows needed serious cleaning. Dirt and dust in the corners. There was a broom but no dust pan. Limited cooking pans for the stove top. The home is absolutely beautiful abd the views were breath taking. They just more attention to detail in the cleaning. Food for thought. We would defiantly stay here again. Just would stress they ensure the home is cleaned better or they leave cleaning tools so we can clean it

Lovely spacious home that was perfect for our daughter’s graduation weekend.
Just a few negatives. We all assumed there would be a hairdryer as there usually is in a rental. Hot tub water did not seem clean. Those were not make or break negatives at all. Just worth noting. We had an overall perfect stay with our multigenerational group. We would definitely rent again!

A+ Superb!
Beautiful home in a most convenient location to Blowing Rock, Boone, Grandfather Mountain. The whole nine yards. Excellent communication with Carolina Cabins to cover any needs we had. Which were none. 5 stars!

Family Vacation
Mountain Laurel Lodge is a beautiful home that suited our needs perfectly. The neighborhood is also beautiful, quiet and extremely safe. The location is ideal as you can be at Boone or Blowing Rock in just minutes if you ever want to venture into civilization. Carolina Cabin Rentals was fabulous to work with and their staff is extremely kind in addressing any needs or concerns you might have. We could not have asked for them to be more accommodating.

Very nice place, but lack of cleanliness all around.
The house was as described and the view is nice. Bedrooms are great sized and comfortable beds. That being said the housekeeping was atrocious. There were not enough towels for all the guests. The oven was covered in grease and so was the coffee maker. Had to soak and scrub them to be usable. There was a thick layer of dust on all the ceiling fans and on almost every decoration in the entire house. For the “censored dollar amount” cleaning fee that’s charged I can’t tell if the property manager is getting ripped off or I am. Either way I would not stay in the house or any one that is managed by Carolina cabin rentals.

Halloween get away
We came to Boone with our friend-family to enjoy the downtown Halloween fun and to take the kids to Grandfather Mountain for some hiking. The house was the perfect set up for our two families. Two master suites upstairs for the parents and plenty of room downstairs for the kids!! Beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a long weekend. The gas logs in the living room were a plus as the weather had just enough chill that we could enjoy the evening fires. And there are no words to describe the beautiful sunrises we enjoyed over coffee! Check in/out process was a breeze and the beds were even made and ready for us when we arrived. We are already planning our return to enjoy nearby Appalachian Ski Mountain in January!

Wonderful location close to everything
Our family enjoyed our stay here. Wasn't quite as clean as I'd expect to find a place but instead of complaining we just did a little cleaning ourselves and enjoyed our stay. The house is very spacious and well equipped. The location was close to both Blowing Rock & Boone (10 min drive). We would not hesitate to stay here again if ever in the area.

Gorgeous property, wonderful memories
The property was actually better than advertised. Very large home, 10 of us and we were never crowded. Large rooms, wonderful views of the mountains. Furnishings were gorgeous. My only criticism is that there was no cell service, and the internet was inadequate. Could have used a few more frying pans, so if you rent, you may want to bring a couple. We would rent again.
