A room in Boone.
The hotel was fine on first appearances . It could use some updates. Elevator needs some work, door all scarred up. Room ok, had to change light bulb, window leaked, TV did not work entire trip. No one could correct it. Breakfast bar needs some help.

The property is older and outdated. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was fine for one night for what we needed after a cold fun filled night at Tweetsie Railroad.

Great staff, great location, the rest is meh
Five star for staff. Mark, the manager on duty was very friendly and helpful. Mattresses are older and uncomfortable. We were in room 211 and the drapes did not close, meaning the floodlight from the parking lot was shining in through our window all night long and was very bright, with no way to block it out. Bathroom fixtures not working great but we’ve seen worse. Climate control needs to be updated. Convenient location but that’s about all this hotel has going for it.

You will need a car service to go around, this is a very small town with everything far away. Some tours where no active even on the right schedule and day, it was recommended by the hotel but we lost that day.

The staff was almost snooty - it was odd. Barely looked up when I walked in - was on his phone. Even asked him if all was ok because he seemed so grumpy. Internet didn't work while I was there - during hurricane so rented the room SOLELY to be able to work - was assured it worked as this was after power and internet was back on in Boone. Not a good experience.
