SugarTop Resort - Indoor Pool & Hot Tubs --Money Saver-- Sugar Mountain, NC

SugarTop Resort - centrally located in The High Country is a guard gated community with round-the-clock security, and a 24-hour front desk staff. Resort lobby has a library for reading or games. Resort has a full Pantry in main Lobby and a Café/Pub onsite (seasonal). Indoor Pool, 2 Hot tubs, Sauna, Steam Bath, Fitness Center, Men's and Ladies Locker Rooms with personal showers. Common outside areas include lower level community sundeck, picnic tables and outdoor grills. Google search Sugartop Resort for more Resort information. Our 2BR and 2BA Condo is located Slopeside on the 1st Floor of residential units (fist in, first out!), closest to the elevator, lobby, pool and parking. Unit is a little "dated" and "used" but clean and cozy so enjoy our lower rates. We love our little escape and hope you will too. Fully furnished with linens and bedding included. Open floor plan, w/wood burning fireplace in spacious living room and wet bar. The beautiful scenery is viewable from nearly every room. Master BR has king size bed and Guest BR has a queen bed. There is also a Queen size electric blow-up mattresses if needed. Both bathrooms have showers and tubs. Private outside balcony positioned directly above pool rooftop with a direct view of ski slopes and sunsets. Laundry room w/full size washer and dryer. There are books, board games, DVDs, XBOX 360, dedicated Wi-Fi and cable TV for your enjoyment. Complimentary shuttle service to and from parking lots for all guests. During ski season no need to drive to the ski resort as Ski Sugar offers free shuttle bus service from SugarTop Resort to Sugar Mountain Ski Resort during weekends (peak season) and holidays. Sorry, no pets are permitted due to HOA policy. This is a SMOKE FREE unit. Each condo is individually owned.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

***NOTE: Sugar Top Resort condos do not have air conditioning. Average summer temperatures are high 75 and low 55 degrees. During snow and ice it is required to have 4 wheel drive/AWD vehicle or snow tires and chains for access to the Resort.***

Activities include skiing, snow tubing, Wilderness Alpine Mountain Coaster, golfing, biking, swimming, hiking, fishing, wildlife watching, zip-lining, gem mining, rafting or just relaxing in the mountains. Nearby sites include Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, Lineville Falls/Caverns, Boone, Blowing Rock, Lees-McRae College and Appalachian State University, Tweetsie Railroad, Overlook Barn, Beech Mountain and the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway. Best deal at the resort!
We loved it here! The place was great for a family of 5. The air mattress came in handy. You’re only about a 5 minute drive from the slopes and 8-10 minute drive from downtown banner elk! I highly recommend bellas italian restaurant, tubing and Highland Ski rentals! Micheal was easy to work with and answered all of our questions promptly.

Nice place. Location and parking is not ideal
Nice place but you have to use a shuttle to get in and out of the building. The shuttles run very frequently but if you are planning to go back and forth from the mountain more than once it becomes a hassle. If you're planning to leave for the day and not come back until the evening it's great.

We arrived during bad weather so the check in process was a little hectic. We had to park at a lower level lot and be shuttled up to the resort after you unload your luggage. The shuttle service was slow due to the bad weather. But overall the stay was fantastic and the shuttle service was a lot faster the next day.

Nice to be on lower level because you can’t bring your equipment inside, no parking close by during holidays. Thankfully we used the stairs because it was so busy. This location would be great outside of the holiday season. We had everything we needed inside to unit. Great communication by owners.

In looking at the internet, the property was supposed to be on the corner of the 9th floor of Sugar Top property! That is why I picked this one, so we would have a fabulous view!! Instead, we were on the 1st floor,, over the pool area, with very little view of the mountains. Very disappointing to us! Hated the room. as it was very outdated! I will probably use aiirB & B in the future and not VRBO! They would not move us to another condo!

You will LOVE this Hidden Gem in Sugar Mountain
You will LOVE this Hidden Gem! We spent 6 nights here and absolutely had the best time. Location is perfect, close to many things! The unit itself is great! Everything you need and priced so you won’t break the bank. We spent our days our exploring the beautiful outdoors. And spent our evenings back at the condo relaxing and enjoying a quiet night. If you are looking to take a mountain getaway to NC, do yourself a favor and book this unit!

Amazing Stay
Our host was one of the nicest people I could ever make reservations with. The condo is completely beautiful with a beautiful veiw especially in the winter. Everything that you would need for your stay is there. You dont need take anything extra. Kitchen items, towels, whatever you can name they had it. Also his response time to anything i needed was superb. If we ever return I would defineately use them again.

I enjoyed a delightful skiing getaway with the kids at this property. The place was clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The friendly and attentive front desk staff provided an added sense of security while traveling with my two young daughters.
